Apparently over 4000 of these UV sterilizing wands have been sold today.

To quote a certain spokestroll. Maybe it bothers me more than it should that so many of these have sold apparently without any eye protection. Either this device is likely to damage eyes, or it’s far too underpowered to effectively sanitize anything. Possibly both!

Thoughts?

It’s not a requirement to sell an item with the proper PPE. If you go buy a saw from the hardware store it doesn’t come with goggles, gloves, and a dust mask. At a certain point, you have to leave it up to the individual to take the necessary actions to protect themselves.

But the light probably doesn’t do anything anyway. It’s most likely better suited to check hotel rooms for bodily fluids.
