Look Smart Trivia: Game Cards
6It’s amazing what cards can do. In the hands of an inspired game designer, a few little bits of heavy paper can build castles out of nothing, wage global war, or make us act like complete idiots. Well, that last part isn’t that hard. Here are five cards from various games: some old closet-shelf classics and some more recent connoisseur objets d’game. Name all five and you’ll win a $5 Meh coupon. Insert signoff catchphrase here!
Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you feel like @jmoor783, who not only knew all of deez Nuts but rang up the thread’s first “deez nuts” for good measure:
- Macadamia
- Walnut
- Kola Nut
- Cashew
- Almond

Don’t know #5. Good Luck, playas.
Don’t know #1. Good Luck, playas.
Oooh, this ones up my alley. No research needed at all:
1 - Taboo
2 - Love Letter (love this game so much!)
3 - Spot It
4 - Clue
5- Machi Koro
@ImSorryButWho Taboo I should’ve known that, good job.
@ImSorryButWho
#1 I was thrown a little bit because the Taboo cards in my set only have one question on each side.
#4 Similarly, that is obviously a Clue card, but stylistically dissimilar to the ones in my set.
@DrWorm
Yeah, I’m not sure which edition of Taboo that is. If I had to guess, I’d say early 2000s from the style, but I’m not at all sure. The Clue one is fairly recent; we just picked up a new set which I’m pretty sure uses that art.
@DrWorm @ImSorryButWho 2002 Clue
@ImSorryButWho Nice. I’m glad to see someone new in here get all the answers first! (Not that it’s going to stop me from trying!)
@ImSorryButWho We have Love Letter Hobbit edition – fun game, more complex than you’d imagine with such limited deck
I think I know most of those cards but I don’t have a clue about #4.
@cengland0 I see what you did there.
