It took a hint or two, but @cinoclav completed our dream Festival Gigs lineup yesterday. Nice one! Just don’t spend that $5 Meh coupon on any brown acid:
@cinoclav@PocketBrain I played it when I was around 7 or so and never could figure out what I was supposed to be doing. I just ran like hell when the trenchcoat guy showed up. I honestly can’t remember if I ever “won” the game.
@cinoclav@jrwofuga@PocketBrain One of the big problems with the game was that you actually had to read the manual to have any idea what was going on. That and the programmer was only given a few weeks to design and implement the entire game.
@dashcloud Lordy. It is funny though, it hits upon the exact problem with the game. Young kids bought it, couldn’t fully understand the manual, so aimlessly wandered around falling in holes.

how often can you win? once a week?
@jrwofuga That’s what he has said.
This one will go MUCH quicker than yesterday’s.
I know them all… who wants them?
@cinoclav I was disappointed there was no Pitfall or ET. .
@jrwofuga I actually owned ET. It definitely sucked as bad as history has said.
@cinoclav @jrwofuga I actually still own ET.

@jrwofuga -
OH NO!! MONKEYS!!!
@cinoclav @jrwofuga @PocketBrain So, some time ago, the game was actually patched to a more playable state: http://www.neocomputer.org/projects/et/
All of the common complaints about the game were fixed.

Venture

@Ignorant #4 could have thrown a few people since it’s so similar to another game.
@cinoclav Berzerk?
@Ignorant Yep
@jmoor783 why do i even bother lol
@jmoor783 tomorrow is your day
@Ignorant congrats man!
I love new meh videos.
Heh heh. Keystone Kapers. One of my all-time favorites.
@PocketBrain Love this review.
I’m an Atari guy, and knew all but Eggomania. I legitimately thought it might have been one of the Sesame Street games.
But it’s a US Games game! Smell the quality!
Also, Yar’s Revenge is still unmatched as a video game experience. Fight me.
@wishlish No fight necessary. Yars’ is a great game. Holds up well imo.
Vanguard was fun too. Others I enjoyed I’m not sure someone playing for the first time today would appreciate as much.
Ah. KABOOM! is still fun.
@stinks @wishlish Adventure is still pretty great, imo. That game did so much with so little…
