I absolutely detest flying. I am sitting at LAX waiting for a flight to Sacramento. What can I do to keep me entertained, other than drinking at 6:00 am.

Why do you have to come to Sac? If you want to go to a tiki bar, try Jungle Bird. I haven’t been yet but my tiki-obsessed friends like it.

- @SSteve I am presenting at a conference in Tahoe, but decided to fly into Sac since I have friends there. I heard there is still snow in Tahoe, can’t wait to see it.

- @ConAndLibrarian We just drove around the top of Tahoe last weekend on our way to and from Virginia City. It is spectacular right now!

- @ConAndLibrarian I get a lot of reading done when I’m traveling. When flying red eye I bring an audiobook on my Sansa so I can rest my eyes and still read. I can’t sleep in public so I don’t sleep on planes.

I kind of like flying. I’ve sworn off airports, though.
Is it the flying thing you hate, or is it really the damned airport?

  Is it the sardine-trapped-in-a-can major airlines thing you hate? Or is it being in any plane, up in the air?
  
  I quite like being up in a private plane (never tried to get a license for myself.) I’ve never felt particularly close to death while doing that tho.
