My user name doesn’t have a space in it. My keyboard inserts a space after selecting a word from its suggestions. Thanks to the semantic web, the keyboard app knows that I have a good chance of putting my email address in a field, so it suggests it.
What is not obvious is that there is a space added at the end. Meh doesn’t say that there’s a space at the end, and it doesn’t trim. So it tries to login with a space at the end of the user name. It just fails.

Or, and hear me out, don’t type a space after your username in the login prompt.
I think you can change your own username, to remove the space, if this is not yet fixed.
