What are those things? UFOs? The sky looks like this:
JK, we do have clouds sometimes. Although I’ll always remember a local weatherman who said that where he was from, “partly cloudy” meant that part of the day the sky would be clouded over. He learned that here “partly cloudy” means that at some point in the day in some part of the sky there will be one or more clouds.
I wish to announce that I lost my prescription sunglasses today.
I was in my car and waiting in the drivethru at Starbucks. Then, when I received my latte, and was ready to leave, I couldn’t find my sunglasses, despite not having left the car or opened the door, only the driver’s window. So I had to get my regular prescription glasses out and drive with them (even tho I dispute with the State of Texas that I actually need them.)
After I got to my destination, I searched the car, first in bright sunlight, then in deep shade, and could not find my sunglasses.
By this time I had constructed an imaginary irritated scenario about going in to order new prescription sunglasses, and feeling quite bitchy about doing it.
Then 20 minutes later I found the sunglasses. At last.
Based on the sounds outside my house tonight, I imagine the sky looked like something like this. I kept away from the windows, so it’s an approximate visualization.
Quack
@PlacidPenguin, You quack me up.

MOAR
It was a very nice fluffy cloud day until I got a notice from the IRS that I screwed up my taxes.
Crap!
@Barney
I take it that the pictured cloud is following you around today?

@Barney

I saw the subject and immediately tried to remember who made that song… turns out you had already posted it!
@djslack
Seeing the clouds all day long made me hum the song to myself.
huh
What were the skies like when you were young?
@atannir
Very big.

I like happy little clouds…
More rain today
Welcome to the blue room.
One of my fave bands. Saw them live in Chicago. The mothership landed. I think Front 242 opened for them. The days of KLF and eternal 3am.
@mike808 Very different sounds, those two, but I bet it would make for an awesome show. Both of 'em helped me make it through high school.

OMG, The Orb.
@brhfl
I played that song all day in my head because all day there was a skyful of those clouds.
