I’m not sure how much water it holds, probably around a eighth of a cup but I haven’t needed to use the water feature because the fan is so powerful on its own. There are three speeds and the first one is way cold enough for me and I’m someone who can’t stand to be hot! I like my home to be 64° all year round, even if it means AC is still on in September and October, I live in CT! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with this fan, I’m most definitely a fan!
@G1@Lynnerizer I’ve been using one with the mist, the well is really small. I really like it though, I can sit on the deck when it’s 95 and be comfortable. It comes with a small squeeze bottle to fill it.
@G1 Definitely a small capacity when it comes to water and power. But at 3.5" of blades, it can blow a decent amount. It cannot charge and blow at the same time unlike the Aeroplus version they previous sold in 2024.
I’ve been using these extensively at stadiums this summer - they’re great. But annoyingly the battery lasts but a few minutes. I have to keep a portable charger with me at all times. Other than that highly recommended. The water mister is a great plus.
The port is USB-C but do not use a fast charge. It won’t hold power more than a few minutes. I purchased the fan when the description was “two fans for the price of one” but they later changed it to a single fan and only shipped one fan. I also have the Aeroplus portable misting fan and while it’s a bit bigger, doesn’t fold in half and uses a USB-mini, I feel that is a better fan. It holds more water and lasts much, much longer. Finally, I have the generic Amazon fan with cooling pad. It is the smallest with the strongest power and a cooling pad in place of the misting function and fits in your pocket better than the other two. However, since it’s so small, it tends to bounce around on your neck more. (I created a 3d printed bracket to prevent that.)
@braveit1 Thanks for the really thorough review. Always useful for our team (and other customers) to see how a product stacks up against others. Ironically, when I tested the Myst, I compared it to both the other styles you mentioned as I had a sample of the Aeroplus still and then had a sample of a similar style with the cooling pad. I’ve probably tested about 35 fans this year and the Myst is definitely one of my favorites. Did you create that bracket from scratch using cad or was there an already available file you used?
@mandirose I created the bracket from scratch with Sketchup (CAD). It’s a super simple design to be small and a quick print. Since I live in Florida, we have to mow the lawn almost year-round. The fan with the neck strap would just turn on its side while walking so I created the bracket to hold it flat on my chest with a slight concave. Easy to slide on and off when placing in your pocket.
I got one of these last time they were here. Worked nicely for a few days, battery life seemed to run about 90 minutes or thereabouts. Then I left it charging for six hours and it overheated to the point where the hinge-area was too hot to touch and the plastic casing deformed.
I guess it was cheaper than buying a movie ticket to temporarily beat the heat, and didn’t require me to look at comic book characters while so doing, so

Also prevents it from falling over when using the fan on the desk.
