@thismyusername According to my sister you can never have too many flashlights. Her husband says a man can never have too many screwdrivers. Wish I hadn't missed this as it would have been perfect for christmas.
@thismyusername@Kidsandliz Actually there IS such a thing, come over my house and find out. I like to purchase those $3 LED Cree flashlights that pop up from time to time. They are the best since they take 1-AA battery, instead of those junky ones that take 3-AAA. I have them overflowing at my house. Not a bad thing, I can just get 5 of those for the price of this one. Still Meh. Tools on the other hand, ALWAYS room for more tools :)
@sykl0ps Yep. Same here. When you're out in the woods, red light blends much better with the surroundings and you can see a lot better. I have quite a few flashlights already, but not too many with a "red" mode.
@Dizavid Phones produce a very small amount of light even if you have an LED on the back for a camera flash. Seriously, buy a real flashlight and you'll be amazed by how much light it produces.
In for one, why not. If some more batteries are not far behind, that would be pretty awesome. I'm running low on AAs but keep holding out thinking they'll be on here any day now.
Notice the nice pointy edges? It's a great tactical feature when those aggressive girl scouts come to your house swindling their stash, trying to get you hooked on their product. Just pop em' on the forehead with it and the point will get across. However, you'll still just buy some thin mints anyway at the booth in the grocery store you can't avoid when leaving because you're a fat bastard with no self control but you justify it with that shitty frozen lean cuisine in your shopping bag and the elevator was broken the other day, so that hike to floor 2 was considered a workout, plus the fitbit came in the mailmail the other day....and.... oh god, I'm going to die alone.
@h1p1n3 I've always been a fan of the smooth directness of a MagLite. Got a solid heft, won't make any cuts so no blood to deal with, just a nice shattered elbow or kneecap with the bone fragments still inside. Those den mothers are surprisingly fast, though.
@h1p1n3 Man, I have to say that your post cracked me up. Great little story. I kept the images you were describing in my head. You've got a talent for writing.
Decent specs except for the size. I mean, holy crap, 8 inches long and 2.5 inches diameter? Freaking huge by today's standards. You can find them half the size and just about as bright for not much more money. Sorry, I'm going to have to say meh on this one.
@sg0 ooops. dig around on the site- you'll find dozens of alternatives. and I am ashamed to say I have most of 'em (including a version of the BMF). I might need professional help.
@retswerb Really? How many focusing LEDs have you used? Was kind of sort of maybe nice in the Maglight days, but with an LED it kind of sucks. You either get an awkward large circle, or a bright outline of the LED die. Obviously there's a market for it or Coast and all those awkward no-name LEDs would cease to exist, but I'll take a fixed TIR or half-decent OP reflector any day…
@brhfl I have fixed and focusable, and prefer the focusable for my edc.. The one I currently carry (cheapo from lowe's) doesn't focus down to the LED shape, stops just short of that. (I do have some that focus to the LED outline, and even that's not a deal breaker)
@chipt4 Interesting. My question was sincere… like I said — obviously people buy them… but I've owned both, and never found any advantage to focusing vs. a fixed beam that had even five minutes of thought put into it. I EDC a Muyshondt Aeon, and never want for focusing.
@brhfl Late to the party but figured I'd respond anyway. I've had both, and I won't waste money on one that doesn't focus. I'm an airplane mechanic, absolutely vital to me that I can choose whether to throw light wide or focus it in for a tight bright beam. Didn't buy this one since it didn't look like it focused, but it's not like I needed another stinking flashlight anyway.
Dam, I am actually a flashlight guy. Probably the only guy on this site that owns a HID 85 watt Xenon flashlight.( Yea I'm that guy). Does anyone know if it has a flood and throw setting ( tight beam that is consecrated and flood beam for a big area ). Also can you use 18650 battery in it?
I checked around 2am and they were sold out. That's pretty quick... must've had a lot of fast orders from the folks that saw "fleshlight" instead of "flashlight"...
Shoot. I had been up since 4am to stand in line to get free dental care (cleaning - check, filling - check... unfortunately no free crowns and I need one) from my dentist - a once a year thing. And fell asleep at 7:30 last night. Rats. This I would have bought as a present for my sister (who says you can never have too many flashlights). Actually I want one too since I live in hurricane and tornado land...and this is nice and bright for its size.
Where's the word "tactical"? How can you try to sell a flashlight without using the word "tactical" in either the large print or the small print? I don't buy anything, ever, that doesn't have "tactical" in the description! Meh.
Is this packaging a Zen exercise gone wrong? I peeled the cardboard along the perforated lines. I uncorked the plastic capsule and admired it awhile. Eventually the batteries yielded, but I had to use scissors to get the light itself out. Once assembled, it's pretty nice. The strobe freaks out the cats.
Just opened mine, the packaging is really bad. I know now why these are being sold here cheap: all of the batteries expired in Dec 2015. In one pack the batteries were falling apart, in the other two they look okay but I decided to toss them anyway. I guess you get what you pay for.
@awk I was a little annoyed by the packaging as well. I scratched the aluminum on the flashlight. It took fifteen minutes just to get the light and batteries out.
@densa@awk I haven't taken mine out of the box yet, but after hearing about the packaging, I think I'll give mine as a Christmas present to someone I'm not too fond of.
The Red S.O.S setting doesn't work on mine it is suppose to be click number five. Not thinking this is a game changer the light is bright as hell but just wondering if anyone else is having this problem? Yes I also had to use a knife that I bought from Meh.com to get into the package.

For a second there, I thought Meh was selling a Fleshlight... Oh my!
@haydesigner They are, but you have to REALLY be into the rough stuff...
@haydesigner if they did, you can bet they'd be refurbished. It would be a tough choice -- the savings would be great I'm sure!
@haydesigner An open-minded person can find a way to use this for sexual gratification..
@awk It is not their mind that needs to be open.
@haydesigner All flashlights are fleshlights if you're horny enough.
@haydesigner
Anything is a fleshlight, if you're brave enough.
@Thinkerer Well none of my flesh is going in this light
@haydesigner My mind immediately fired off "Jaffa, kree!"...and while it's not the least bit relevant, I bought one anyway.
Bright deal tonight btw this deal nailed it tonight
@AttyVette Illuminating comments, as usual. Brightens my day.
@AttyVette That flashlight is striking.
Too many darn flashlights already, pass!
@Stallion is there such a thing?
@thismyusername According to my sister you can never have too many flashlights. Her husband says a man can never have too many screwdrivers. Wish I hadn't missed this as it would have been perfect for christmas.

I purchased because this has the Whorehouse mode.
@sykl0ps I thought that was the UV version, to light up body fluids so you don't lick them by mistake. Only on purpose.
@sykl0ps Yep. Same here. When you're out in the woods, red light blends much better with the surroundings and you can see a lot better. I have quite a few flashlights already, but not too many with a "red" mode.
Flashlights come in a close second after knives for "things I only need one or two of, but I keep buying anyway", so in for one.
Also, this made me laugh: "Five light modes: High, Low, Epileptic Seizure, Whorehouse, and Oh Shit"
unanswered-voluptuous-money
@awk I am so with you on this one. Flashlights, and knives are my Kryptonite.
@mfladd superman's only shopping weaknesses are capes and spandex
Gonna point out the typo after the model number. Maybe they'll give me a free one for helping out. Meh probably not.
Model: LG21-60546 (hey, where'd the get my bank account number)
@lsuredbeard I noticed that, too.
Pretty nice flashlight. But when do I ever need a flashlight and not already have one in the form of my phone? Meh.
@Dizavid Phones produce a very small amount of light even if you have an LED on the back for a camera flash. Seriously, buy a real flashlight and you'll be amazed by how much light it produces.
It's too late to buy one today though.
In for one, why not. If some more batteries are not far behind, that would be pretty awesome. I'm running low on AAs but keep holding out thinking they'll be on here any day now.

@h1p1n3 Man, I have to say that your post cracked me up. Great little story. I kept the images you were describing in my head. You've got a talent for writing.
@mcanavino Man, if you want to maim people, just get one of the knives that Meh sells from time to time instead.
You say "riot baton" like it's a BAD thing.
Decent specs except for the size. I mean, holy crap, 8 inches long and 2.5 inches diameter? Freaking huge by today's standards. You can find them half the size and just about as bright for not much more money. Sorry, I'm going to have to say meh on this one.
I don't think I have ever been to an actual RibFest, and I don't know of any that take place nearby.
I'm very sad now.
c'mon, guys- for $3 less you get one of these.
flashlite
for $13 more, you can get one of these:
biggerflashlite
and for $70 more, you can BBQ a chicken with one of these:
@alacrity your first two links are the same
@sg0 ooops. dig around on the site- you'll find dozens of alternatives. and I am ashamed to say I have most of 'em (including a version of the BMF). I might need professional help.
No speaker in the light?
Where am I?
Anybody know if the beam can be focused? That's a deal maker/breaker on a flashlight purchase.
@retswerb Really? How many focusing LEDs have you used? Was kind of sort of maybe nice in the Maglight days, but with an LED it kind of sucks. Can't buy Pro Series, that would be a lie and laughed by true pros
@bigtom67 I have a feeling doubling the voltage in anything meh sells will promptly explode it…
@bigtom67 Consecrated? Wow, you REALLY do like flashlights...
@Al_Coholic Yeah, but the marriage was annulled immediately afterwards.
The descriptions of the different modes are totally awesome, but the product is so very meh... :/
measly-dumb-laugh
I think that's the most sane order number I've ever had.
Dam it's a flashlight people either buy it or don't. I am sure that a different one come a long shortly oh squirrel! squirrel! Or it's so shiny!
Meh. Sell something that takes an 18650 and then it would be tempting.
Love my Olight S20R.
Crap, I could've waited a few more minutes and saved myself $15.
Would have been great for the car when I can't bring my 3000 lumen flashlight with me. Oh well.
I checked around 2am and they were sold out. That's pretty quick... must've had a lot of fast orders from the folks that saw "fleshlight" instead of "flashlight"...
@cpierce Also I'm pretty sure I already own this exact flashlight and it is a pretty good little light.
You only had 512 of these? These aren't fuko/fukus, c'mon :(
Damn, would have totally picked one up. Snoozer and loser.
you can get similar focusable ones on Amazon for $12
SOLD OUT? What the hell!
Wait -- a flashlight? Meh.
Meh grossed 8K today... we used to sponsor dances that grossed 8k. this is a defacto vacay day for the shipping dept
It's almost hurricane season, so I picked up a nostalgic-painted-ferret. It sorta looks like this:
@OldCatLady
Shoot. I had been up since 4am to stand in line to get free dental care (cleaning - check, filling - check... unfortunately no free crowns and I need one) from my dentist - a once a year thing. NOT a great deal... for a few dollars more you can get a 900 lumen flashlight with a rechargeable battery....
http://www.amazon.com/Outlite-Portable-Zoomable-Tactical-Flashlight/dp/B00VZT2WP6?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00
@mrackley Yeah, but the night vision mode is huge, and the 900 doesn't have that.
Where's the word "tactical"? How can you try to sell a flashlight without using the word "tactical" in either the large print or the small print? I don't buy anything, ever, that doesn't have "tactical" in the description! Meh.
I told you I was a flashlight guy, man I love them. Sorry for my little Freudian slip...
Worst...
Packaging...
Ever....
Mine were delivered 30 minutes ago, and I'm STILL trying to get this thing out of the packaging without destroying it or cutting a finger off...
@Serk Or is it the BEST PACKAGING EVAR?!?!
@Serk you need to wait until they sell the package opening knife...

Holy shit this packaging is satanic. I've never seen one with a quarter inch of fused plastic adjacent to the item and a cardboard shell.
Also, the batteries are made in Caina.
@awk I was a little annoyed by the packaging as well. I scratched the aluminum on the flashlight. It took fifteen minutes just to get the light and batteries out.
@densa @awk I haven't taken mine out of the box yet, but after hearing about the packaging, I think I'll give mine as a Christmas present to someone I'm not too fond of.

@dino2269 hold down the switch to get SOS
@dino2269 I figured out how to get the S.O.S to work. You have to hold the red down for a few seconds.
Packaging was hard to get into but this is the best flashlight I own now. My batteries don't go out untill 12-2019.
Manly packaging and a very manly flashlight. Very happy.
This thing is bigger than I was expecting... I guess they had to unless they re-arranged the AA battery layout?
