Life as December Goat: Day 2

Today is my nephew’s 17th birthday which means he’s been driving for a year now. He is not great at keeping an eye on fluid levels and car care so I put together a few things for his birthday. Oil, washer fluid, tire pressure gauge, and ice scraper. I was afraid to get him all the fluids as I don’t trust him to know which one goes where. I try to show him when he stops by for oil and things at our house. I wish basic car maintenance was a required class in high school. I know I learned a lot by being married to my super-smart and handy hubbie and I am glad that he will be teaching our girls how to take care of their vehicles. Any similar situations for you all?

Make sure he knows that the cap marked 710 is for oil

Lesson learned the hard way: Always carry a tire repair kit and air compressor. So much better than having to worry about slowly driving long distances on a compact spare.
