I actually just got some LetsFit ear buds today. I’ll never buy from the company after this. Completely new, taken from the box, they cut off randomly, the volume is 500x louder than any other headset I own, and the touch controls are basically “pause… sometimes… not this time… you sneezed and your hair touched me? PAUSE! It will never unpause again!”
I liked the concept and the packaging, and the magnet for charging is great and solid magnets, but it’s on my “Do not buy” list for a long while.
I know I’m super late to the conversation, Don’t ever buy a watch from this site pictures are often misleading and the watches and bands are made of cheap plastic especially the imitation Apple Watched claims to retail at $160 but you can buy them at the dollar store for $10.
I got fooled into buying one of those imitation watches for my nephew after he asked me for an Apple Watch for his birth but when it arrived it was so horrible I just threw it in the trash.
So If youre still looking & want a decent watch that’s under $300 check out the Samsung Galaxy S3 & S3 Classic as well as Garmin watches.
I have Apple Watch 5, Samsung Galaxy S3 as well as a Garmin Venu
The Garmin Vivoactive is only $165 on Amazon and has decent reviews.
If you need any help or suggestions picking out one, just reply here and I’ll gladly help
@radi0j0hn Tracphone (Did you mean Tracfone?) does not make phones. If you are talking about Tracfone they are just an MVNO that buys phones from multiple manufacturers like pretty much every other Carrier/MVNO.
what’s the difference between letsfit and letscom? it’s listed here as letsfit but any other site that sells it has it listed as letscom. also, there is no id216 on the letsfit website, but it is listed on the insanely identical letscom website.
edit
looks like the earbuds are listed on the letsfit site, and the watch is listed on the letscom site. are these the same company?
I like that you can use only one bud instead of both. The bud converts to mono when the other is put back in the case. I like being able to hear what’s going on around me while out for a walk.
@mbimeh I didn’t like the band that came with my last Smart watch, buy one that you like that also fits. I have two pairs to match what I’m doing (workout or work)
Lucky me. I recently lost my Letsfit watch and saw this deal. I use it everyday at the gym. It’s a great deal for the price. No idea about the ear buds.
Earbuds that work with my ears are an oxymoron. Under my desk, there is a small coffin full of attempts to find a pair of them that were useful to me. Any that weren’t physically painful would pop out in a minute or less. So I don’t do earbuds. To use a bluetooth earthingy with my phone, I had to mold a custom ear insert, and that took three attempts.
OBTW, GOT sucks, I do not need to watch imitation titanium-plated assholes f**ing each other over as alleged entertainment when I can see the real thing on the news. And the NewShiny wears off of a Fitbit really fast for me, particularly the Inspire 2 with its screen so dim that it’s useless in daylight outdoors. I often find supposedly addictive things lacking in actual long term utility.
“4 Changeable Clock Faces!” Why, I’d have to own… FOUR different wrist-clocks to equal that! I gotta say, this looks like some of the worst of the chabuduo Chinese-made junk. Spending more than $4 for these happy life items is many ways foolish.
Still using my Empower Fit Pro watch I got a while back here on Meh and am quite happy with it so no need. Also no need for earbuds so this is an easy pass for me.
I got a letsfit smartwatch back in February on Amazon and it started going nuts three months in. My heart rate was all wrong when we went walking - we don’t walk fast at all, just normal. I get a little breathy going up hill, but downhill is not a problem.
This thing had it over 170 bpm downhill and under 100 uphill.
I got the FitCloud smartwatch that meh was offering a while back and while it shows text message notifications but it doesn’t show notifications from any other app nor is it configurable at all. Does the letsfit watch, let you decide which apps you get notifications from or is it locked down to a specific set of apps? (I want my google Voice notifications since that’s where I actually receive texts)
Inside the package for the wat was an ‘extended warranty’ card with a url (www.letscom.com/warranty) the problem is you need to put in your Amazon order # to get the warranty.
I e-mailed the support address and was told I NEED an amazon order number for the warranty… FAIL.
The headphones seem to not be lagging behind videos I’m watching on YouTube, so there at least better then the Sharper Image wireless buds I got a couple years ago. Low bar has been exceeded! Still deciding on the watch but the app needed a lot of freaking permissions.
Okay, so I’ve worn the watch for about six hours now, and I already like it more than my Moto 360. Not that that’s saying a lot… It looks cooler than the Martian watch, and has more functionality. So far, for $18? Totally worth it.
I bought this combo for the watch as a “temporary” fix after my “fancy” watch stopped working. That was last July and so far this watch has worked flawlessly. I wear it constantly - except to shower - and I get at least two weeks out of a charge. The distance measurement is startlingly accurate. Sure, there are lots of little things it doesn’t do, but so far I’ve had no need to even look at other watches. Weird, but I’d buy it again.
Oh, and the earbuds, while not great for music because of the sound, work perfectly for listening to Audible or podcasts. So, I’m impressed (for the price).

Meh.
But where is the time displayed??? How do I tell when its 1600?
I misread this as “Leftist Smart Watch” and was super confused.
@meyerweb I came here to say the same thing. I think a smartwatch that tells me it is time to eat the rich doesn’t need to be smart or a watch.

If it’s just now getting around to saying that, it’s running WAY slow. Like decades.
Apple watch killer?
Someone was feeling snarky.
I hate when I get drinking before the nightly Meh refresh…

@Artimid Thanks for the heads’ up. My FitBit bricked itself, and I was on the lookout for a cheapy replacement.

But you have to have a smartphone, right? Won’t work with my now stylish Tracphone.
@radi0j0hn Tracphone (Did you mean Tracfone?) does not make phones. If you are talking about Tracfone they are just an MVNO that buys phones from multiple manufacturers like pretty much every other Carrier/MVNO.
With a 1 year warranty might be worth a shot!
@jmrobinett
Narrator: It was not “worth a shot”.

@WhiteKenny yes… the company is China.
@warpedrotors @WhiteKenny
Don’t trust China! China is A$$H0L3

@captkirkstny but I don’t want to have to worry about wearing two earbuds all the time just to keep from getting mono
I have large hands/wrists so most watches won’t fit around my wrist. I wonder what is the maximum diameter of wrist it will fit.
@mbimeh I didn’t like the band that came with my last Smart watch, buy one that you like that also fits. I have two pairs to match what I’m doing (workout or work)

speaking as the guy who has never owned a cell phone . . . I’ll pass, thanks.
strange brag for a mostly technology related deals website.
Still using my Empower Fit Pro watch I got a while back here on Meh and am quite happy with it so no need. Also no need for earbuds so this is an easy pass for me.
Why is there Twitter, and why should I care?
Is anyone else bothered by the fact that the user in the stock picture has 28,888 steps and still hasn’t met their daily goal?
@schtulin LOL, and they’ve only burned 1288 calories
No touch screen?
If it no touchy, then I no touchy it.
@sdansmith the watch is touch screen…
@rogermendez12 Thanks - It might help if they mentioned that in the description, instead of making us download the user manual to find out.
I love reading user manuals.
@rogermendez12 @sdansmith
Particularly the ones done by Google Translate from Shenzhen into English?
Must to swiping screen touch as app to get to!
I’ve been staring at this all day, you know what?

The deal isn’t as good as it might seem…
The price might be $50 for the watch on Target via a 3rd party seller, but… The price is only $30 for the watch on Walmart via a 3rd party seller.
@FeMaster wait…meh is for good deals??? I thought they were just supposed to sell me junk I didnt know I wanted/needed at a decent price.

Here’s the reply I got in case anyone wants to see it:

Purchased the watch in July. Stopped taking a charge in November. Contacted Letscom, and they gave me BS reply to my request for warranty. JUNK.
@Whoknows
see post a few above yours (from cybercowboy) re: warranty
