Some of my likes are loves, even though my altruism score is >1. Very much agree that we don't need signature blocks to woot up the forum. ;-) Also, thanks for the responsiveness to mehmbers - it seems as if anyone that wished could have a hand in shaping the outcome. Thanks for the improvements, it has been fun playing with the new features.
@KDemo The responsiveness thing is impressive (for forum improvements, in general). It makes you start to feel powerful.
Back in September, @shawn was making so many things happen, I believed I was quickly on my way to ruling the universe. (Thanks, @shawn, for the lovely delusions. They were fun while they lasted.)
Whoa, you mean everyone can learn our poll votes. Some of those answers could tip people off about my age (hint: I don't get called "young" anymore). I'm going to think about that for future polls.
Other than that - very cool! I like the profile pages. Thanks.
@beergut - Until now, this feature has been in beta testing for VMPs. Soon they will roll it out for everyone. Just click on anyone's username here in the forums.
@sohmageek@shawn is that what you're trying to avoid? :) I do apologize about not being able to find smaller images on the fly like that... I think the larger ones prove the point though. ;)
What this video has shown, more effectively than even the profile page itself, is how much information mediocre truly can and does collect about the people who post here. I'm starting to lean in the "holy shit, anyone can see that?" camp. It's a bit silly, since anyone looking hard enough could find most of it before. However; those people had to know what they were looking for and how to find it. Now it's all together, in a handy, customizable view. Makes me sort of miss the simplicity and faux privacy of the old pages - with just the list of topics started by the user. All of that is directly at odds with my interest in watching the fascinating evolution of the profile page and how it changes the forum. Also, with how users seem to be using those new features.
@Thumperchick Right about now, I could start complaining that the profile pages are not complete enough. There is no option for purple in dark mode and there are no purple stats -- none, nada, zip. But I have a very long memory and will never forget what happened to @phatmass and his pagination. Therefore, I will keep my mouth shut. @Shawn scares me.
@MrsPavlov Hmm, 4 minutes and 5 seconds of my life spent listening to this that I will never get back, plus the time I spent reading about it. I know very little about Fatboy Slim, but I did discover why you posted this. Confession time: I thought they were saying "The funk's so rubber." Ha, nothing gets by me, does it?
@dashcloud What if I didn't like the purple mode and was stuck in it? What if it was an ugly color of purple? There probably is ugly purple, somewhere, and I bet that @Shawn could find it if he really tried.
The profile pages are great, thanks for all the work...
now can we get a PM system? :P
If you're discovering profile pages for the first time, here's mine: @shawn
We had a lot of fun building them over the past month or so: https://meh.com/forum/topics/new-profile-pages
Nice plug for Eucopia. Do you get a cut?
I'm too fucking boring for this.
LOL, Eucopia boxes in the background.
Love the chats with Shawn, thanks for these.
I still think the high score idea has legs. Who was that, Matthew?
We may never know. Whoever it was, I could listen to that mellifluous voice for hours, who's with me

@KDemo Ditto.

So gratifying to earn an elusive @shawn star. ;-)
@KDemo Now I want to know how many likes I've gotten from people with low altruism scores. There may never be an end to the stats that interest me.
And another star point (yes): Those who award numerous stars speak volumes when one is omitted.
Fun filled video. I like the idea of super meh leader boards. Competition is fun.

@Pamela
Your account is only 1.6 years old. You're "young" to us :)
@shawn That's sweet. Thanks.
I didn't recognize @shawn without his hat.
Can somebody take a peek in the database and tell me where I liked my own post? I want to clear that out that "ew". 😒
@awk me too..just 4..I am certain it was accident..
@awk @mikibell
Ive got well over 1000...
@studerc yes but you are a confessed self starrer!
@studerc
@studerc
@studerc
I have no idea what that was about.
@beergut - Until now, this feature has been in beta testing for VMPs. Soon they will roll it out for everyone. Just click on anyone's username here in the forums.
@KDemo @beergut Kind of seems like it's been rolled out universally now… or at the very least, I can see it!
I don't know what you're talking about... I'd love to see a cute icon next to my name (in addition to the "V-card")
Signature block:
1st Meh
Speaker dock collection:
2x
4x
5x
Last Meh:
@sohmageek @shawn is that what you're trying to avoid? :) I do apologize about not being able to find smaller images on the fly like that... I think the larger ones prove the point though. ;)
Mine says i liked my own comments 6 times which I vehemently deny. (ok, I probably did it my accident. How embarrassing.)
So is @shawn in Washington or is @Matthew in Texas? And if the latter, who's watching the duck heads?
I love these videos.
Came here because I'm also Shawn, I also have a StL Cardinals hat on; and I am new to Meh; and the Forum, so this was Informative.
I'll be around
@DuncSTL RUN! For the love of God. Run!
@DuncSTL - Welcome, glad you're here.
@DuncSTL
Is there a leader board?

I'm torn.

@Barney he does have a lot of power...

And yeah, this must be posted:

@Barney You mean you'd be unhappy to be stuck in permanent purple mode where everything was purple? (Or did I misunderstand you?)
@dashcloud What if I didn't like the purple mode and was stuck in it? What if it was an ugly color of purple? There probably is ugly purple, somewhere, and I bet that @Shawn could find it if he really tried.
