Bought a pair the first time these were offered a number of months ago. I’ve only used one, it’s in the bedroom, and it works fine. I have no way of verifying how well it works, but it does circulate air while slightly cooling it. It’s fairly loud however, being tolerable on the lowest setting while in the same room, but any faster than that and it sounds like a room fan on high. I’d still recommend this if you’re in the market though.
@dave I’ve considered it! My big Coway purifier has physical buttons… I would need to push it multiple times to change modes. I assume the SwitchBot could be configured to do multiple presses when triggered.
@dave If I buy, I’m holding you personally responsible if it doesn’t work. You will have to come and sit near my litter boxes and manually push the button every time they make poopies.
@steelopus the winix ones they sell at costco are supposedly wifi controlled, I haven’t used it though.
But they are pretty much an equivalent deal to this one on sale because for 100$ you get two years of filters with it. You just need to find someone to get it from costco, idk when the current sale on them ends but probably this weekend.

@ragingredd no that was GooGle, Meh spy’s on GooGle
Got a couple of these last time and they work very well!
@baus7 easy to find filters?
You need an air purifier from all that stank you collect with using “AI”.

It’s certainly handy to have a mini-tape measure in hand when on Meh
In for two, hopefully the filters will be available for a few years at least 🫣
@bass1193 Bought the Raycon version, love it so far, wish I’d stocked up on filters

@hugacrv That showme turned out quite nice.
@hugacrv @yakkoTDI Damn, AI. Is getting quite good. I’d pull up a chair (in a virtual world that doesn’t, exist… or does it?)
Made by Burisma?
@IAMIS I don’t get it.
I’m forever dreaming that Meh will sell a wifi-enabled purifier sometime.
I would use a Wyze cam plus an IFTTT trigger so that when my cats use the litter box, it kicks the purifier into full power for 30 minutes.
@steelopus Have you looked into the SwitchBot?
https://us.switch-bot.com/products/switchbot-bot?_pos=4&_sid=c1ac1d22d&_ss=r
I’ve not tried it but it seems designed for this idea - a wifi-enabled means of physically hitting an on/off button.
Here’s someone doing this with the added complexity of a need for conductive touch:
@dave I’ve considered it! My big Coway purifier has physical buttons… I would need to push it multiple times to change modes. I assume the SwitchBot could be configured to do multiple presses when triggered.
@steelopus It does sound like it has that functionality, though potentially through a bit of a hidden mode described here:
https://blog.switch-bot.com/switchbot-bot-and-a-hidden-trick-we-bet-you-dont-know/
(A million caveats and disclaimers about how I have no idea if this would really work.)
