Lemme see yo decorations!
10Heya friends, happy halloween! I wanna see how you decorated for the spoopiest night of the year. Did you put out a fancy fun mat? Maybe some cobwebs in your bushes? Do you have a dope ass giant skeleton? (You will make me incredibly jealous if you do.)
I’m gonna include some from mine, as well as the pumpkins my fiance and I carved to get things started.
Behold! Our fancy ass pumpkins! The symbol-looking thing, for those of you who are lucky enough to not have been cursed, is the Horde symbol from World of Warcraft. We both have horde tattoos… It felt appropriate. (I had mine first.)
The clown looking creep is none other than Art the Clown from Terrifier! If you can handle some really extreme gore, I definitely recommend going to see the second one. He was uhh… very hard to carve. But I like to torture myself.
I’m keeping this banner up in my office year-round. It’s glittery and great. Just in case you can’t read it, the banner says It’s fricken bats! I love halloween!
My favorite thing that we crafted. I see these ghost circles online SO much and I wanted to make one this year. We got some sheets from Amazon, some wooden dowels, and some foam heads. Thankfully it rained, so it was SUPER easy to get those dowels in the ground.
The ghosts summoned this… Help. We aren’t okay.
My dumb lil wreath. Got a cheap wreath from Dollar General, some ping pong eyes, and fake flowers. Had to pick a LOT of those little purple bats because there were way too many.
Sorry for the crap picture of it on the front door, but uhh… yay! It looks like that in the dark!
And here is the current situation. My second skeleton child is handing out candy for us in their costume. I folded the unicorn head and everything. We have stairs, so I didn’t want kids waiting for me to try and run up and down for candy. They are actually all REALLY well behaved and taking just a few pieces each. Yes, I am creeping through our ring. It’s great.
So lemme see it! Let’s get festive!

Great job!
I’m sure he’d approve.
Fantastic job carving him, by the way!
@Kyeh Why thank you! I figured it would be appropriate… He would have approved more if I hurt myself while carving, I’m pretty sure!
My street gets very few trick-or-treaters, but there’s a neighborhood nearby with big houses that gets them in droves. People go all out with decor, lights, sound effects - so I went out to walk around and see the hoards. AND - I finally saw my first giant skeleton - in the non-flesh? Plus some other cool stuff.
A blow-up dragon that flaps its wings:
Some T-rex skeletons:
Some piggies:
And a nice jellyfish:
@Kyeh Oh this is awesome!! One day I’ll see the big skelly in person…
LEGOS! EGGOS! STRATEGO! AWESOME!
@SpoopySkeleton I was hoping that some of the people in the forum who own them would post photos.
@RiotDemon @Pony - did you put your big dudes up this year?
@Kyeh @RiotDemon @SpoopySkeleton We never even got ours out of the box. Hubby just didn’t have any spare time, and I’m too broken to do anything myself. We did, however, just have Christmas lights put up on our house by a local company, so at least there’s that. I’d love to put giant skelly up wearing a big ole Santa hat- I saw one like that in town last year.
@Pony @RiotDemon @SpoopySkeleton
Oh, too bad. Skelly in a Santa hat would be great!
So this happened
@tinamarie1974 HA okay I love this so much. It suits the tree very well!
@SpoopySkeleton I liked it, but I think next year Ill put it up earlier so the leaves will look like hair!!
Certainly not as deluxe as some folks, but we do have fun. It doesn’t hurt that our neighborhood is relatively lame in decorations so our yard stands out a bit. We have people stop & take pictures in front of the web…

@tohar1 I love it!! I’m jealous of the giant spider web, it looks sooo good!
@SpoopySkeleton Thank You! We’re working on something bigger for next year already!
Front yard, door display (built by yours truly every year), and of course Fenris with an inner glow!
@PooltoyWolf
Neato! Sounds effects as well?
@Kyeh Oh yeah, the stereo was playing creepy ambient tracks from the Metroid series of video games. A better fit for the mood than even I expected!
@PooltoyWolf Incredibly perfect!
@Kyeh Their YouTube Channel is full of great Nintendo music compilations for almost every mood.
@PooltoyWolf WOW I love it so much! You did an amazing job, and I love your little ghosties.
@SpoopySkeleton Thank you
Oh, and a neighbor did in fact have a dope ass giant skeleton! He’s over 12 feet tall.
@PooltoyWolf … Wanna team up and steal a skeleton for my army?
@SpoopySkeleton That sounds…scary.
