Buying sheets without the ability to feel them is something that scares me off. I have felt some 600 count thread sheets that were scratchy and some 250 tread count sheets that were soft and inviting. Without the feel and unless you know the brand well, there is no true way to know.
@hotrodder Even if they were actual photos, you still would not have an accurate way to determine the color because of differences in lighting and monitor settings. If you are trying to match the color to be exactly the same as something else, I wouldn't take a chance on it. I discovered years ago that there were so many different shades of white when I went to paint over a spot on my white wall. I couldn't match it so I ended up having to paint the whole house. Imagine how hard it would be to match a colored wall.
Don't do it. Cotton/polyester blend sheets don't breath well and will make you hot (as in warm, not more attractive), just like a blended t-shirt. I made this mistake one time and I really regretted it.
@Stallion I don't understand you people who can't feel sheets you order over the internet. Do they lose all textile properties on the way to your home? I've been able to feel every sheet I've ever ordered over the internet. Heck, you can't even take them out of the packaging without feeling them.
So I'm confused. Is the little guy shrugging after the questions...or is he holding the questions up with his arms? This will bother me for at least 5 minutes until I forget about it.
@saodell How sweet of you to out yourself in the Meh forums. And for the record, I did say "self respecting". You know, the ones that don't let their significant others go all foo-foo with the decorating.
Whadda 'bout us twin sleepers? Can't use no queen'r king on a twin bed!.. It'd be like puttin' a circus tent on a anorexic. Shoulda made a deal to sell a twin for a ten and fifteen for a fool, uh.. I mean, full.
It's a satin weave structure. Sateen usually indicates cotton thread in a satin weave structure. Satin weave structure is essentially generated by a 4 over, 1 under weave to generate a smooth silky surface. It only recently has been bastardized by companies to try to trick the consumer.
Polyester in sheets is always a sign of poor cheap quality fabric. double that for someone who is allergic to polyester.
So way to dash my hopes, meh, for using "sateen" but thank you for having the ingredients list right out front.
I'm gonna be real with you, meh. About 10 years ago amazon convinced me to buy a lot of sheet sets. They were cotton and they were cheaper. Hell, they even gave me some for free because amazon didn't know how to promo yet. What I'm saying is, I have sheets. I'm good on sheets. I really don't go through sheets as fast as I thought I would. Thanks anyway. But if you really want to sell me on something amazon got me good on 10 years ago, I could use a couple more train sets and slot car sets. Name brands, please.
@unixrab For someone that makes as much money as you do and seem to relate what you do in your spare time with your pay, it doesn't seem worth your time for you to keep posting crap like that. Your time is too valuable.
@unixrab You win then because you've been annoying me for the past 20 years or so. I cannot remember exactly when we met but I know it was in the early 90's and you're still annoying today as you were then.
I'm driving myself insane. I'm pretty sure I used to be able to play the classical song that's in the sheet music, but I can't name it and I'm not home to play it on my keyboard to hear it... help?
For what it's worth, these sheets are getting pretty good reviews at Overstock. I picked up a set. I just ordered new sheets a few weeks ago from the competition over at Woot but I could use a second set for the Winter months. I don't really care if it's all cotton or not.
@PanicSwitch I had gambled on one set, after you found and posted reviews I went back and added another color. If the lady hates them, I'll blame you :)
These will go well with my 2 new comforters that we got a couple of weeks ago! Cheap sheets are always welcome when you live with a wife who is allergic to dust mites and needs to wash all of the bedding every week.
@bruceoite What? You don't need to wash the bedding every day? Far be it from me to incinuate that your marital life is on the dull side, but if your sheets can go seven days without laundering, ...... well, ahem.
Don't you people have local stores like HomeGoods where you can purchase discounted bedding that you actually get to see and touch? I have often seen brand name sheets that sell for 5x as much at high end department stores at some of the discount retailers. Even then, I use extreme discretion when making purchases. Most people have no idea what they are missing until they sleep on really awesome sheets. Apparently lots of people have no conception of the fact that "awesome" is a word that is never used to describe polyester. At least not since the 70s ended and leisure suits went the way of pull-off tabs on Coke cans.
Dang it! I would be all over this deal but, my matris is too thick for these pockets. I have a real problem with buying sheets. I have five sets for my bedroom but since I replaced my matris none of them fit right! I need new sheets that fit but alass these won't work. Bummer for me. I have an adiction to nice sheets!
I know you all used a drop-shipper or whatever for this, but I just wanted to say that my sheets arrived really quickly yesterday. That is not meh. Be careful of raising expectations here.
@PurplePawprints well I was very intrigued when I had a package coming from Trademark games. I'm wondering wtf is trademark games and why is it coming. I almost asked yesterday why this didn't ship yet. Well trademark games isn't anywhere on the label. But it was the sheets. And ups not usps. Very interesting. However the shipping info was never emailed to me. Only ups telling me it was shipping. @JonT any reason why the orders page doesn't show it shipped?
No delivery to PO boxes (so great that most meh stuff can go to a PO box!)... I live on the other side of that great northern border so I had to get a mail drop place to accept my sheet delivery. Still a decent deal, but $5 less of one than it would have been to the PO box. Keep supporting the PO box-compatible shipping as much as you can - I for one greatly appreciate it.

This is a pretty sheety meh deal
meh. Haven't had a good deal in awhile. Bring back batteries or something.
@xEBRONx AAA only!
@Saffer49 Hell Yeah!
No black?!
You guys really need to fix your clocks. ~60 seconds late!
As for these sheets, I think I might try a set.
Days since VMP: 2 ..and counting
NEED CAL KING!!!
ok, I want Cal King!
@Ryaneil yes.
@Ryaneil then combine Wirt's Leg and a Tome of Town Portal in the Horadric Cube
@tinyace I understood that reference.
@Ryaneil outlier.
@tinyace that was awesome. Thank you
@Ryanell boo, I mean moo
No purple? For that alone, meh.
@heartny I hear that @Barney loves purple
I love purple.
Hump day special. (get it?)
@phatmass got some.
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
@GiantTarget That's me flipping my bed.
@GiantTarget chill out bro ┬─┬ノ( º _ ºノ)
@GiantTarget but why do you sleep on a table
Worst Meh yet. I'd rather have 5 speaker docks than crappy cotton-poly sheets.
Does not come with 6'4" Swedish mute....meh.
Buying sheets without the ability to feel them is something that scares me off. I have felt some 600 count thread sheets that were scratchy and some 250 tread count sheets that were soft and inviting. Without the feel and unless you know the brand well, there is no true way to know.
@wisenekt I love 250 tread, I never go lower on my tires.
@thechinglish who wants less than 250? i'll even bust out my pocket knife and create treads if i don't see enough.
Sateen poly/cotton blend?
Gross, meh.
AKA F999ING BATH
Idk anything about sheets, are these any good? Will I sleep like a baby?
@clux like a baby sleeping on poly/cotton blend sheets
@clux Never buy sheets that aren't 100% cotton.
@clux Like a colicky baby.
@clux Do you want to sleep like a baby? That means waking up every 5 minutes crying.
@cengland0 My one year old napped for 4 hours today, and sleeps for 10-11 hours at night.. I wish I had that much time to spare!!
Polyester blend makes me feel all sheety in the morning.
Does the sage look at all yellowish to anyone?
@dfunk29 these images are photoshopped - there is no way of knowing how accurate these colors are.
I see someone there plays violin. What's this piece? Mozart?
Sorry, my thread count minimum is 800.
@phatmass enjoy your misinformation.
@thechinglish seriously, don't get it. Wut?
Don't do it. Cotton/polyester blend sheets don't breath well and will make you hot (as in warm, not more attractive), just like a blended t-shirt. I made this mistake one time and I really regretted it.
@heynow sounds great for east coasters in winter
@mehod Don't sleep outside.
I got nothing to even really say other than it seems expensive for a pair of sheets you can't touch or feel.
@Stallion I don't understand you people who can't feel sheets you order over the internet. Do they lose all textile properties on the way to your home? I've been able to feel every sheet I've ever ordered over the internet. Heck, you can't even take them out of the packaging without feeling them.
@phatmass I'd pay extra for sheets I couldn't touch. I'm assuming it's a cold fusion zero kelvin anti-matter trick, yeah?
@phatmass Good luck trying to return some open sheets to Meh if you don't like how they feel.
These colors are pretty crappy.
So close but I'm holding out for the lascivious sheets.
So I'm confused. Is the little guy shrugging after the questions...or is he holding the questions up with his arms? This will bother me for at least 5 minutes until I forget about it.
@Satchmo I'm with you. If he's shrugging his shoulders, then why the grin?
The colors suck. Way too pastel.
I want deep, rich greens and vibrant, dark burgundies.
No self respecting heterosexual male would be caught napping on these lame colors.
@eyewerks heterosexual males sleep on the sheets their mates buy, without noticing the colors. Folks with insecurities, on the other hand ...
@saodell How sweet of you to out yourself in the Meh forums. And for the record, I did say "self respecting". You know, the ones that don't let their significant others go all foo-foo with the decorating.
@eyewerks As a well-rounded, self-respecting, hetero male, I would buy AND sleep in sheets with any of these colors.
@clawfrank "well rounded". Are you trying to tell us that you're fat?
Whadda 'bout us twin sleepers? Can't use no queen'r king on a twin bed!.. It'd be like puttin' a circus tent on a anorexic. Shoulda made a deal to sell a twin for a ten and fifteen for a fool, uh.. I mean, full.
@unkabob Buy a King and cut them in half. It's like your own private 2-for-Tuesday.
'mattress size ridiculous____will not fit 22 inch or more
I only sheet the bed when I have gastrointestinal issues.
You're welcome.
I guess I'm just Meh enough to have your basic full bed, so I'm too Meh for your sheets.
Yeah, I'd be REAL interested if it was 100% cotton. Sorry, Meh.
Ah sheet!
I'd buy them, but I'm afraid I'd get a set with only 598 threads......this is meh, after all.
@eeterrific If you get them at all. You might get cameras instead.
WHERE, pray tell, are these sheets made?
Does no one here care about the origins of the goods they purchase?
@eyewerks the Amazon price check link says China.
People still use flat sheets? I went simple fitted sheet + duvet in the mid-90s and never went back.
@stewf gross. Flat sheets keep your duvet clean.
@HELLOALICE Duvet covers keep your duvet clean.
@stewf Flat sheets are good for odd sized beds.
@stewf The flat sheet is for when it's warm, the duvet is for when it's cold. (Neither is for when it's hot, and both is for when it's very cold!)
@stewf Hell yeah! Without the flat sheet there would be nothing to get bunched up at the foot of the bed.
What the sheet is going on here? You gonna fuck on me?!?!
I can't find any reviews for this set. Seems suspicious... Sheets...
agrrogant-lavender-gremlin yolo
polyester sheets? GROSS!
MORE THAN 0% polyester = MEH!
It's a satin weave structure. Sateen usually indicates cotton thread in a satin weave structure. Satin weave structure is essentially generated by a 4 over, 1 under weave to generate a smooth silky surface. It only recently has been bastardized by companies to try to trick the consumer.

poly-blend ftw. mehhhhh!

I'm in love with the coco
@awk So is Ice-T
@djslack Well played.
@awk Baking soda! I got baking soda!
Thanks for mentioning the sweet home. Them and their sister site, the wirecutter, are my go-to review sites.
BUYER BEWARE: no HDMI.
@unixrab For someone that makes as much money as you do and seem to relate what you do in your spare time with your pay, it doesn't seem worth your time for you to keep posting crap like that. Your time is too valuable.
@cengland0 uhhhh..... this is for relaxation, fun and leisure. The off-chance of annoying you is just all that much more bonus points.
@unixrab You win then because you've been annoying me for the past 20 years or so. I cannot remember exactly when we met but I know it was in the early 90's and you're still annoying today as you were then.
@cengland0 YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!! CHECKMATE!!!!!!!!!!! (again) (I KNOW you wish you could beat me in chess!)
$30 for a decent sounding set of sheets seems pretty ok, in other words meh. I think I'm in for a set since I need some for the guest bed...
Percale. Gotta be percale. Cotton percale.
I don't care for sateen at all.
No full? Not buying a new bed to throw 30 dollar sheets on. Meh.
I might have to get these, because... HOLEY SHEET!
Thanks for the handy sheetz-ducation Meh. Perhaps the poly content is ok for others but it kills the deal for us.
I'm driving myself insane. I'm pretty sure I used to be able to play the classical song that's in the sheet music, but I can't name it and I'm not home to play it on my keyboard to hear it... help?
45% polyester and sateen weave - enjoy sweating in your "pilled" sheets!!
No Georgia Red. . . for that alone, meh.
I wear poly pants to work sometimes. Those are alright. I'm in for one set.
@djslack No problem, I can be your scapegoat on this one. There's always @BillLehecka if you needs more people to blame as well. Haha
@PanicSwitch "I could use a second set for the Winter months" . . . only change sheets every other season?
@RedOak I wash my sheets pretty often for allergies but I don't really bother switching them out until it gets really cold.
I'm going to put my hulking-muddled-ass in some new sheets.
These will go well with my 2 new comforters that we got a couple of weeks ago!
Cheap sheets are always welcome when you live with a wife who is allergic to dust mites and needs to wash all of the bedding every week.

Needed some sheets. Bought some sheeeits.
Easier to buy new ones than to wash them.
Poly blend sheets? No thank you.

45% Polyester?
Really?
Meh!
Just wanted to let whoever did the write up today know that I enjoyed it. Thanks for making me chuckle. :)
@JTrilogy That'd be @jasontoon
@JTrilogy Thanks! Chuckles is my middle name.
I know you all used a drop-shipper or whatever for this, but I just wanted to say that my sheets arrived really quickly yesterday. That is not meh. Be careful of raising expectations here.

I dunno coupla weeks ago I got the what's buy those for look; today I got "how come you didn't buy more?" I can't win.
Got sheets yesterday. Got told they shipped today. They could try harder.
p.s. love the sheets.
Wow. Ordered 3/25. Order processed 3/30. Off to UPS 3/31. Ready to receive my order sometime... April-ish? Meh.
I love these sheets! Please sell them again!
@em30 They are pretty nice! They meet with my lady's approval. But they're definitely not the same as cotton sheets.
Would buy again like in a year or so when these are getting old.
Sheets ended up being sheety. Slept on them twice and the color ended up fading from grey/silver to tan. Really terrible, actually.
