@mycya4me Kombucha is produced by fermentation of sugared tea using a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast (SCOBY) commonly called a “mother” or “mushroom”.
@Pavlov@phendrick My question is why would I want any “Culture”, hey I am a Geeky Nerd, I do hardware repairs to Computers, At corporate sites. we are just strange. Talk in strange ways!
My coworker kept raving about it. So I finally got some - and it actually messed up my digestion! I don’t normally have any trouble with my guts. So nah, it’s not for me.
@Kyeh@lonocat I never started drinking fermented stuff/ Booze. personal choice. Plus it was the Money during the “Young & Stupid Years” that everyone goes through! To me it was NOT logical for you to spend Big $$ for just a few oz of drink, when you could get any NON Booze drink for little $$ & a lot of liquid. Plus you never had the Morning after the Night before. Also all that time you might spend with "Ralph, The Porcelain god. My head don’t belong there!
But hey If someone wants to do that … More power to them!
I love the good ones and dislike the bad ones.
Never tried it. Should I?
@sammydog01 I agree!
@sammydog01 same here
@sammydog01 Me too.
Huh?
@tweezak I think you spelled that backwards.
@tweezak @yakkoTDI Wow.
tattarrattat
Kombucha is apparently a super food; I’m super unlikely to drink it. Therefore, I have no culture.
@Pavlov what’s this Culture you speak about!
@mycya4me @Pavlov
“Culture”
it’s both what it takes to make cheese and what it takes to want to discuss it.

@mycya4me @Pavlov A fermentation of sugared tea?! WHO IS WASTING TEA THIS WAY!
@Pavlov @phendrick My question is why would I want any “Culture”, hey I am a Geeky Nerd, I do hardware repairs to Computers, At corporate sites. we are just strange. Talk in strange ways!
@mycya4me @Pavlov
Hope you’re not asking Why you’d want cheese.
@Pavlov @phendrick Nope, Plus I highly dislike Melted cheese & only a few different type of cheeses
My coworker kept raving about it. So I finally got some - and it actually messed up my digestion! I don’t normally have any trouble with my guts. So nah, it’s not for me.
@Kyeh
@lonocat Yeah - I got the trots.
@Kyeh @lonocat
Probably overpowered your normal intestinal fauna & flora.
@chienfou @lonocat Yeah; my conclusion is if it’s working as is, don’t mess with it!
@Kyeh @lonocat I don’t drink anything that has Gas in it. I give up CO2 drinks back decade+ ago! It gives me gas & I start passing gas. Not pleasant!
@lonocat @mycya4me I like carbonated drinks! But this fermented stuff is something else again.

@lonocat @mycya4me Wine, beer, a mixed drink - I like those occasionally. They don’t mess up my innards. But this fermented tea does for some reason.
@Kyeh @lonocat Sad it messes up your insides, You can all the Wine, beer, mixed drinks for me!
Like None for me.
@mycya4me I agree 100%! Too Much Gas.
I like it staying in the store (or in Meh’s warehouse).
@hchavers No you don’t want it to stay there. If it stays long enough it will show up in irks.
@hchavers @Kidsandliz Yeah, better by far for it to sell out the first time and leave the fans looking for more.
Never had it, don’t see any reason to change that.
@olperfesser I agree 100%! Too Much Gas.
Never tried it.
@ragingredd I have only tried it by mistake, and I have resolved never to repeat it.
