Got their debut album when it came out, first record I ever bought. Mind-glowingly great album… how many bands have basically made a greatest hit album with just their first one?
@f00l What’s your device? I haven’t tried it with Android, but iOS immediately pauses music playback when an incoming call arrives, so there’s no need for two separate sets of controls. More buttons are just more places for sweat to get in.
@cbl_wv their review is 4 stars “excellent” and editors’ choice. Hardly negative considering a $150 price tag at the time:
"Conclusion
So, unsurprisingly, the JBL Reflect Fit is not a pair for audiophile purists looking for the most accurate sonic performance—this is a bass-forward, highly sculpted in-ear pair that won’t disappoint bass lovers who still want some balance in the mix. In terms of fit, it’s among the most secure-feeling in-ears we’ve tested—something that might actually scare some users off, as the heart rate monitor does seem to require that the eartips are thoroughly sealed and in place, more so than is necessary when simply enjoying the earphones for audio. But overall, the Reflect Fit is an excellent product—the built-in heart rate monitor seems pretty accurate and useful, the audio performance is high quality, and the design is ideal for exercise, earning these earphones our Editors’ Choice. That said, there are plenty of great options in the Bluetooth exercise earphones realm, and if you don’t need or want the heart rate monitor, it’s worth checking them out—the Bose SoundSport Wireless, JBL Reflect Mini BT, Jaybird X3, and JayBird Freedom "
Meh Milestone:
“phendrick clicked the meh button 844 times, 100 days in a row, with a longest streak of 100 days in a row”
Odds are I won’t make 200. I tend to forget whenever I rush to buy some deal.
Anyone want to take me up on that bet???
@phendrick I prefer my streak. After five years of membership, “curtw4 clicked the meh button 1 time, 0 days in a row, with a longest streak of 1 day in a row.”
Is there any chance that this works with an Apple Watch? Even with the Model 3, if I try to simultaneously use Bluetooth headphones and bluetooth HR monitor, I get nearly constant music drop-outs. If this only appeared as a single device, maybe it would work?
Oh goodie, another 43% positive-reviewed item (with several of those rather suspiciously effervescent). Um, no thanks. I can think of a lot better uses for $34.
I found these to be comfortable and convenient, even though the band is a bit bulky. Holds a charge well and stays in place. Listen to rock/alt mostly and works well enough for hooking up to pandora on my iPhone. I thought they were a pretty good buy!

Can we get the Amazon rating added to the product header? It should be fairly easy since you’ll never need any more than three stars
@nolrak
if amazon third star then
else
should cover all the meh cases

List of control buttons on these worried be nice.
In specific
Do they have a play/pause control completely separate from the answer/hangup control?
Do they have FF/Rew bottons that are completely separate from the volume +/- buttons?
I hate headsets which require double-presses or long presses or similar.
@f00l
two buttons on right: heart rate and power
two buttons on left: volume up, volume down. Long press to skip track.

@f00l I had the exact same statement about the alarm clock earlier this week. Combined volume/track skip buttons are a pox.
@curtw4
I like the separated controls far better. I use my headphones many hours each day.
I use both IOS and Android source devices.
different priorities …
One of the reviews linked above mentions this.
In brief: you’d hate this headset.
@JohnMorris
Much thx
@JohnMorris which review says that?
@troy I assume PC Mag’s review is kind of negative, but not brutal. https://bit.ly/2M4SQfn

Thump, thump, thump… thunk.
I now own 8 Meh head phones so no to these for 29 bucks I’ll just take my pulse for 10 seconds…that being said it’s most likely a good deal being JBL
Plastic hoops pressing against the veins in the neck. Doesn’t the sleeper hold involve pinching the veins in the neck? What could possible go wrong?
@hchavers Ears, not neck.
A lot of things seem to shine light into your skin and measure the difference created by blood vessels changing each heartbeat.
@hchavers
these can’t even store music locally
Just hold on to your Microsoft Zune, then, @ulnek
Like I would use something other than my Fitbit for checking my pulse.
@Fuzzalini The thin skin of the ears is a better, more reliable place for photoplethysmography.
What if you have no heartbeat? Will the earphone part still work? At least until the sun comes out?
Probably these only work well if you listen to “heart throb” music.

Oh, all the clever and sometimes even purty Meh buttons you’ve missed seeing!
But I wish my record for the BUY button matched yours for the Meh button.

@curtw4 What precludes using the Apple Watch’s built in HR monitoring? Battery life? Accuracy? Thx!
@mwarren With the built-in HR monitor running, the watch is only good for about three hours.

@MrNews For $34 I would suggest 2-4 bottles of wine (depending on offering at the time) over at casemates.com
