It's back: The AEE S71 at Home Depot for $259 with free shipping.
0@garyhgaryh and @Pufferfishy both recently got one and I've been impressed/intrigued with it's capability. Though @garyhgaryh has reported some challenges when connecting to his FPV VTX, it still seems like a whole lot of camera for a fair price. If you have a chance, check out @garyhgaryh's comparison to his older GoPro.

Time to get some Mediocre buyers ringing these guys up! I hope they answer their phones AAHEEEE!
I noticed AEE commented on the video. You guys mind replying to them so I can get some traffic on that video? :)

@garyhgaryh That's kinda cool G. I'm impressed!
@ruouttaurmind thanks! Here's the pin outs:
@Pufferfishy thanks! I didn't know it was connected to their site.
@garyhgaryh Pinout looks pretty painless to make. That's great news! What about supplying power while in this mode? I know it's got a battery, but is it possible to remove the battery and run power via USB?
@ruouttaurmind don't know, but gopro u can.
I'm still fairly happy with the purchase - but I have just found, buried on one of the seemingly dozens of "official" AEE sites, that this camera is NOT 16MP - it's only 12, and the 16 rating is interpolated.
I'm still pleased with the image quality - but given the issues with the video out I think I might have "settled" for a refurbed GoPro Hero3+ Black for the same price......
@Pufferfishy I read the same. I saw a brand new 3+ going for 329. Cables are readily available and you can buy featherlight ones. I wish I had jumped on the 399 hero 4. I am having setbacks due to untried configurations like the hero hd/2 on a gimbal made for hero 3/4. Video cable which causes camera to be pushed out 1/4 and causing balance/tension issues. 12 mp isn't too bad and all the accessories make it a good deal. I'll blame u for getting me to get the s71! J/k!
lol - mea culpa! It's turning into something of a minor Pandora's box....
But MAN - the more I read on MOST of these cheap cams that are flooding the market, there's a LOT of lying going on. Selling 1.3MP cams as capable of making 10MP images (that don't look like complete shit), etc.... EVERY time I find a cam that I think looks like a good deal as a "test toy" I find something wrong with it that explains why it's < $100.....
@Pufferfishy I believe the gopro hero 3 and 4 are 12 mp so s71 being a true 12 mp is ok w me.
I got a nubi from woot. It was basically a mid grade are camera rebranded for nubi. It was $60 and not worth it. The fish eye was over the top. Everything within ten feet appeared two miles away and the sound was terrible. Sometimes it wouldn't work at all and sometimes it wouldn't pick up your voice but would pick up random strangers 20 feet away. Luckily I was able to return it. I'd stay away from aee
