The 8th is day zero anniversary. I’m not sure whether that or the 9th actually counts as birthday day. But I did participate in some festivities to celebrate the occasion this weekend!

@Targaryen Hey! It was nice to meet you and everyone else at Meh HQ as well! I was a little overwhelmed with how awesome it was to be there. It was kind of like being starstruck I guess.
I was using both names interchangeably, as it is a little weird to suddenly be talking in person to people that you’ve only typed to under some fake name before. But I figured if there was a chance someone might know me, it would only be by my forum name.
I wrote up a little version of the story over here in today’s thread, and in the process realized I took only one picture while I was there - the one of the monument sign.

Got 111% ripped off on 07/08/2018. Clicked meh.com at 21:00:02 PDT in hope of Fuku. I was trying to finish the order but got tripped by the “$4.99/month: Free shipping on all orders. One-click cancel, anytime. Learn more.” radio button meh. By the time I figured it out on a normal computer screen that scrolls past that set of radio buttons, the “wait for east coasters that will be warned ahead of time” option had kicked in (which will probably be handled by bots). On a timed sale like this, the radio buttons should not be there, or I should not have been sabotaged by their presence.
But I guess this is a typical Meh experience, so maybe it bothers me more than it should, .
@djslack I deliberately delay clicking for a second or two to avoid server timeouts (aka Irk singing “something went terribly wrong” to me). I’ve won three fukos in the past, so I really shouldn’t complain. I’ve had my time in the sun. I’ve tasted glory. The joy of fuku has been bestowed on me.
But then again, this is meh, sooooo … My are sour, and I must complain (Harlan Ellison reference).
since i am no longer vmp, the $10 just doesn’t feel worth it
@oda_Daenerys Looking at my orders, one year they did it on the 10th, another year on the 8th… so I guess that just means check in often.

Well no fuko today - instead random meh t, 2 meh pillows and meh tumbler… of course that is more meh swag than you’d typically get in a fuko.

Your other problems aside, that’s two seconds later than 5,000+ other people who were here for 300 fukos. And two years too late for Fukus.
