Definitely seems too good to be true...
I wouldn't do it... look at the other campaign they had running... plus this in the project updates:
I am not sure apple would ever short that much... the cost to make when it came out was estimated at $242.50 for the 32gb model ( http://www.techinsights.com/teardown.com/apple-iphone-6/ ) I doubt they could have gotten costs down below $150 that quickly.
For those leery of the igg.me here is the full url:

There is no way you could convince me this is legit. The full retail price on that phone is $849.99.
They are usually priced in the $199 range assuming a 2-year contract with a carrier in which they will more than recoup the balance of the cost. There is actually no markup on the phones contrary to what the campaign suggests.
I've had direct accounts with Apple before. Even when talking about buying hundreds of units at a time our direct discount was usually in the 5% range. iPhones typically had a 2% discount off retail.
Is it real?

Doesn't even make sense to sell them on a crowd funding site...
@medz very strange indeed.
@medz I think the 'idea' is more of a massdrop type scenario where the crowdfunding is simply to build up an MOQ to get a specific price. Obviously the whole thing was bullshit, but that's how you make sense of crowdfunding an extant product (I guess).
noooooooop
what is indegogo's policy on fraud tho? would I loose my money if it was a fraud?
@miko1 I also wonder this.
@connorbush @miko1 For future reference, if the campaign you are contributing to is marked "Flexible Funding", unless the campaign is cancelled/removed, you have to pay once the campaign is finished, regardless of if the project reached its goal.
If it is a Fixed Funding campaign, you only pay if the campaign reaches its goal.
As to the fraud question, it's hugely unlikely you'll get your money back after the campaign is over- if you do, it's because someone leaned on the campaign.
@dashcloud thanks. I tend not to fund flexible campaigns for that reason. I did not contribute to this campaign either as I was mostly certain it was fradulent.
Or is it Memorex?
.....and it's gone now. There's your answer.
@Bingo mmm yeppp. suckers. thank goodness for the meh brethren.
