International Pirate Month

Today you not only get a holiday, you get a whole month. Aye, mateys, it’s International Pirate Month!

I don’t know who started this holiday, and I don’t know if it’s “International” because it’s celebrated around the world, or that it’s for international pirates. What I do know is, celebrate it or walk the plank! Arrgggghh!

- @PocketBrain TLAPD will always be Sept. 19 for me. Could you imagine TLAPMonth? And while the Wiki page does correctly note that TLAPD is observed by us Pastafarians, many of my non-Pastafarian brethren observe the date as well! ‍

Ahoy mates! Thank you for sharing this. Our pirate organization, the Rogues’ Armada (https://www.facebook.com/TheRoguesArmada) , started ARRR-Gust International Pirate Month several years ago. We have over 1500 members around the world so yes, it is ‘International’ though still in its infancy. It is different from Talk Like a Pirate Day because it is meant for pirate performers to raise charity. AND, Captain Slappy- co-founder or Talk Like a Pirate Day- even did one of the videos for our month long charity event this year.
