Intermittent Laggy Load Times?

Anyone else running into this? The current thread refusing to load is the September Scapegoat Nominations thread. Usually, it's mediocre.com/forums that take a while to load. I've run into this on FF & Chrome, at random times throughout the day - on 3 different windows machines (from win 8 - 10)

Is it me? Is my perfume that bad? Does it make cloud servers cry? Or is anyone else running into laggy load times for mediocre/meh forums?

(ETA - the scapegoat thread loaded immediately for me on my phone - Chrome for Android)

- @thismyusername Yes, I mean meh. I don't think that's the issue for the intermittent lag, but tonight it seemed like an update rollout.

Meh has previously acknowledged they ramp up and down server capacity around Midnight. Perhaps they turn things way down when sales slow to a trickle during the day. Mediocre.com might be turned down all the time until another "experiment" materializes.

If it were my cloud server dollars would I leave it turned up on high performance around the clock? On the other hand, enough noise like this might beg for a tiny bit more cloud horsepower.

For some odd reason I'm pretty patient with response times here. I abandon other sites when the response time is consistently laggy.

- @RedOak A bit of lag isn't too bad. Unfortunately for me, I'm here enough that it's frustrating. I agree that the need for lighting speed just isn't there all of the time. It's also been happening a lot more in the past few weeks.

- @heartny I'm sorry. I got in touch with my inner child and flushed the ouchy plant down the Internet tube. It got stuck and scratched the tubes. In reflex it closed up. I should have known better than to install feelings 3.0 to the tubes.

- @jimmyd103 you didn't see the fuku? It could be a message. Speaker docks are better than fuku's or maybe it bothers you more than it should that it could just be my fault.

Continues to be wonky today. Other sites working fine and wonkiness seems to be cross-device/cellular data/landline data as well. Could one of those intermediate external paths we see flashing across the bottom of the screen be part of the issue - or is it simply the meh servers? @shawn
