Copyright law does not protect names, titles, or short phrases or expressions. Even
if a name, title, or short phrase is novel or distinctive or lends itself to a play on
words, it cannot be protected by copyright.
As such, any existing copyright for the term “pff” is null and void.
Further more, pertaining to the possibility of trademarking the aforementioned word “pff”;
Trademark protection is available for single words if the word is used in interstate commerce. To be eligible for trademark registration, the word must not already be in use by a third party, must not be on a prohibited list of words and must not be too generic. Generic terms are not granted registration, because it would be unfair to grant a monopoly on a commonly used word.
@shruggie hopefully, based on what you copy/pasted ‘making america great again’ then isn’t covered by copy write either despite was claimed by the orange one.
@shruggie I just found them too… too bad. He tried to blanket the world with use of that phrase. He has the other one too… Search on 5020556… now the question is what can we register for that he might want to use in the future that isn’t already covered…
@shruggie@f00l They should be denied simply on the basis of the owner being listed as a ‘Non-Profit Corporation.’ Everyone knows it’s all about the profits.
Maybe i need some tips.

@shruggie
Gah. You had to do that.
Where’d I put my anti-nausea meds, now?
@f00l
Why do you need them? Is it because you just realized now that you were at a baby shower?
@shruggie
No. For the contents of the trademark claim info.
@f00l
I could show you a trademark filing which not even meds would help treat.
(But I won’t.)
@shruggie
Oh go ahead. I spoze I need to know.
