First, am I allowed to draw from any medium? Legends, Canon, Fanon?

With that in mind, I’ll answer this way.

My favorite character from Canon is Obi-wan Kenobi.
He came from a simple background on a planet named after John Stewart (Stewjon). He studied hard, and was shown to be imperfect, but dedicated. Through adversity and adventures, he grew to understand the Jedi code and the order’s philosophies in a way that most of the Jedi didn’t seem to grasp and even earned a spot on the Jedi Council. As the franchise has grown, I’ve found myself surprised that his story has so far been able to remain without being tied to significant parents or children. He exists as a pillar of the franchise.

My favorite character from Legends is Kao Cen Darach.
He was a Jedi Master and Battlemaster during the years leading up to the Great Galactic War. A warrior, diplomat, and philosopher, Darach taught and influenced many notable Jedi of that time period, and he even wrote a book about lightsaber combat that became part of the Jedi curriculum. While he was assigned to watch over Korriban, he proctored Satele Shan’s Jedi Knight Trials.

My favorite Fanon character is Jallic. He’s a disrespectful little shit and a terrible Jedi, but he makes me laugh.

@Thumperchick I can think of a couple of things that bug me: Harry is supposed to be this badass wizard of the ages, but he is clueless - characters around him have to constantly explain things to him. And any time there is some kind of challenge or obstacle, someone comes up with a “spell” that neatly fixes it. Lazy, uninspired writing - it’s almost as if it were written for children.
