@djslack i almost wanted to post the brickseek link but then i check it and all the stores around me are out of stock, if i remember correctly these were clearanced out last year , so finding in store will be very very hard
@communist Comparable one from Amazon for $25 if anyone is interested (and in stock!):
HARMONIC LED Desk Lamp with Wireless Charger,Dimmable Office Lamp with USB Charging Port,Wireless Charging,Touch Control,3 Lighting Modes 6 Brightness Levels,Eye-Caring Table Lamp for Studying,Working https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YD6FVCS/
You have to take the case off to use this or at least that’s what i had to do with the one I bought from Costco which looks very similar. Why would I want to take off my otterbox case(a pain to do) when I want to charge it? Also why would I want my phone nekkid and unprotected to charge it. Then it slips from my hands or whatever and gets damaged.
@djslack i had to look it up. The brand is ultrabrite, 5w charger. Costco has it for $50 now but i believe i bought it for $30 or $35 when it was on sale.
I have a similar lamp, but from a different company, and mine is actually pretty good as a nightstand lamp. I particularly recommend this style if you use a CPAP, because during the day you can hang your air hose on the horizontal part of the lamp.
I can’t say anything about this specific brand and model, though.
Oh, mey what big socks you have…removing case to charge phone sounds like 2017 pre usb 3.0 get with the modern tech meh. Your constantly trying to provoke us impulsive buyers into instant regret.
@whomeyesu that’s only if you case blocks Qi. Like if you have a magnetic plate to stick on a mount in your car and it’s not a ring to allow wireless through.
No mention of Qi charging wattage, so I assume it’s 5 watts. Meh. And I have to take off my case to charge? mehmehmehmehmeh… or more succinctly, H*** NO!
@RedOak eh, that disclaimer comes with all wireless chargers. Some cases are too thick or w/e to charge through. I know my phone wouldn’t because i had a magnetic phone mount in my car so the magnet in the case prevented me from charging wirelessly.
Through-Case Charging: Don’t fumble with your phone case. PowerWave charges directly through protective cases up to 5 mm thick (not including cases with magnetic or metal attachments).
I would buy this at the right price. This isn’t it. Perhaps meh will reprice these at a later date to be more in line with the market. The “comp” price at Walmart is ridiculous and not representative of the market.
For those of you who don’t care to or haven’t been absorbed into the Apple Nation (or coven as the case may be) keep an eye on TaoTronics lighting for stuff like this. They have the Android equiv. and it’s very high quality. Now brace yourselves, it normal retail is about what this item is on a Meh “steal this” deal. Find a really good deal and it’s half the cost of this “i” product. Surprised?
@Dog19026 I just looked at their lamp, and you’;re right, it says does not support iPhones running iOS 13. That’s bizzarre. TaoTronics must be doing something non-standard, as any normal Qi charger will work on with an iPhone. Also, what Meh is selling is not an “i” product, despite the name. It will work with your Android phone as well.
@ParadisePete Hey Pete Thanks for your objective review of their site! Yeah I know that this isn’t an official Apple part. It just seems products targeted at that group have a big price tag.
@Dog19026 No argument there. I actually went to that TaoTronics site looking for a good deal, but the reviews were not so positive. I’m certainly not buying the one meh is offering - the price is about $15 too high. The “comp” price at Walmart is ridiculous. It’s a cheap lamp and a cheap charger.
Removal of the case is only when Qi can’t pass through it, like with a mag mount, metal case, or one that’s too damn thick. It looks to be 5W which has a shorter range then higher wattage Qi chargers.

@jaynedough none of my wireless chargers have a problem charging through an otterbox. Was yours iHome brand?
@jaynedough oh, it says right there in the specs, you may need to remove your phone case. That would suck.
@djslack i had to look it up. The brand is ultrabrite, 5w charger. Costco has it for $50 now but i believe i bought it for $30 or $35 when it was on sale.
What don’t the numbers like?
I can…I can see the light! Wait, no, never mind. I’m not going toward that, it’s way too expensive.
Does the entire lighted section change color, Hue style, or does all that rgb stuff refer to the little bar at the front of the base?
Is this on sale because the base has a bright annoying blue light at the bottom when it’s charging? Can this be turned off?
Cut the shit, Meh. Tomorrow, sell us your time machine:

The Qi charger is 5W, won’t break any speed records but will take a whole night’s sleep to charge your phone to

Doesn’t that kinda blow the entire convenience of wireless charging?
No thanks. My 9 buck Anker wireless charger works just fine without removing the case.

When will you be selling the wireless-charging-through-the-case cases?
I would buy this at the right price. This isn’t it. Perhaps meh will reprice these at a later date to be more in line with the market. The “comp” price at Walmart is ridiculous and not representative of the market.

Ay, yi, yi!
How can you get that close to a joke and not realize that you missed it?
A genius would drink beer from “Ein Stein” - “Ein” is an indefinite article, you wouldn’t say “an a stein”
What’s with the tax? I never used to get taxed on meh orders but now seeing tax across all their sites. What changed?
I see a box of regret in this light’s future.

The “mood light” on my unit doesn’t seem to work. What should I do?
My LED on my unit doesn’t seem to want to stay on anymore, anyone else having this issue? Literally turns itself off randomly.
