If you have MeTV and are up at midnight central tonight...
11…possibly my all-time favorite episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents is on, The Glass Eye.
An achingly young William Shatner introduces the story of his spinster aunt, played by Jessica Tandy, who falls in love from afar with a vaudeville ventriloquist. Plot ensues. Billy Barty makes an appearance. There’s a glass eye. Watch it!

@thismyusername Thanks for that link. I watched the episode for the first time even though I’ve heard about it for such a long time.
It was great to see Shatner so young. Watched him closely to see if he over acted like he did in Star Trek.
@thismyusername Thanks! This moring I thought, gee, I should have mentioned it’s on Hulu. Didn’t even think to check anywhere else.
@cengland0 It’s crazy how young he was. That episode is 60 years old!
@thismyusername Many thanks for providing the Hulu link. I have an account I seldom use and wouldn’t have thought to look for this program there.
Didn’t realize Shatner is as old as he is. Remarkably well preserved. And speaking of holding up well, have you guys seen Rita Moreno lately? Caught her in a trailer for the new One Day at a Time reboot. Holy smoke! She does NOT look like a woman in her 80’s. Not at all!
@LaVikinga He’s truly had an amazing career. And Rita Moreno is a living goddess. She took Norman Lear to the Golden Globes. So cute.
Jane Fonda? And Stevie Nicks.
@LaVikinga I wouldn’t have recognized Shatner if I hadn’t known to look for him. Even then, I didn’t realize who I was seeing and hearing for the first few seconds. Totally gorgeous at age 26.
@LaVikinga Here’s another “She can’t possibly be that age” story: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4294556/Meet-50-year-old-woman-really-does-look-half-age.html
I guessed who was who - and was wrong.
That was depressing.
@sammydog01 You’ll never see Billy Barty look sadder or more noble than he does at the end.
For those that were just curious, and don’t want to (or can’t) watch the Yahoo or Hulu copies, here’s the details from IMDb.
