First the Stroopwafels failed to sell out and remained up for sale after they should have gone pumpkin, now the squirtysauce deal is still running well after midnight, too. I sense that the Meh staff does not want these things turning up in their break room with a big EAT ME memo attached…

The sauce deal ran for 48 hours, as did the Stroops. The cargo shorts didn’t end at 24 hours, so it looks like they’re following suit. I’m wondering if this is the new normal, or a temporary experiment, or a glitch that nobody’s complaining about.

And each of the listings since the last sellout has run for 48 hours before being closed without a sellout, with the obvious exception (so far) of the one that just began and the one from yesterday that’s in its 26th hour now. I’m calling this a pattern at this point. A while back, someone here on the forums suggested (probably not for the first time) that doing this made more sense that stopping the sale at 24 hours, because not everyone can check in here every day. It still takes knowledge of the site to see what yesterday’s item was, though. This limits the effectiveness of the continuation. Perhaps that will be addressed soon.
