That’s so pretty. It’s going to be 83 here tomorrow. Could we have about 20 degrees of that weather? Also, there’s a ‘strong tropical wave’ with 60% chance of developing into a storm, and it’s heading my way.
November 11, 2016 (yesterday) is officially the earliest I’ve ever had to use my snowblower. Just ridiculous as the average high temps are still supposed to be in the 40’s for Fargo, and we’ve went a full week with temps in the teens & twenties, plus had about 3-4 inches of snow. Our friendly neighborhood city snowplow operator pushed a 2 foot tall ridge up into our driveway, which is why I had to use my snowblower.
@moonhat Ummmm…Ooops?!? I guess I was just reliving the good old days…or something…
TWENTY-EIGHTEEN is the correct year referenced in the post about the day before yesterday, or any of the past 316 days, I guess…Lord willing & the creeks don’t rise, it’ll also be 2018 for the next 48 days give or take a few…
@PooltoyWolf Just once is the most relevant part of this comment. It’s nice to see and experience. Then so much better to go home where the weather is humane.
@shahnm I also grew up and now live in the same as you. I, on the other hand, will not cut you if you try to drag me back. I miss skiing, cross country skiing, sledding, eating icicles hanging from the roof, but not shoveling snow.
@Kidsandliz PSA: For anyone interested in dragging someone from their warm comfy environs in the dark gray areas to the frigid tundra of the purple places, your likelihood of being cut in the process will be lower with Kidsandliz than with shahnm. Consider yourselves warned.
@Barney Sadly, purple in this context has been usurped by the mean-spirited demons who made that climate map. In their twisted hands, purple has been maligned as a frigid, repellent tundra of shattered dreams and eviscerated hope. Pity, really…
@compunaut I guess that’s like the economy version of cryogenic freezing. When the technology to thaw you out hits a price point at which it’s available on Meh, maybe one of the Mehtizen grandkids of the future will come revive you. Your VMP will still be active, of course, but all of those $5 monthly charges are going to be a bitch!

@therealjrn I’m in the Zero zone.
@PocketBrain Is that like TRON?

It’s going to be in the 70s here in SoCal. Time to break out the winter clothes.
@narfcake Time to change to your winter sandals?
@narfcake Yep. It finally feels like fall.
@narfcake if only we can stop burning it’d be perfect.
@Ignorant @narfcake
don’t think there is a lot of chance of that
maybe a sacrifice to the fire gods?
I almost slid into someone while turning into a parking lot at 5mph. Slicker than sheet out.
1-3 inches today woo-hoo!!
Just rain here

Quite chilly and un-fun here.
Freeze next 2 nites.
Just once I wish it would do that here.

I grew up in one of the purple areas, and now live in one of the dark gray areas. I’m thankful and joyful. I will cut you if you try to drag me back.

@shahnm I love purple.

@shahnm I lived in a borderline purple area for a few years. I survived.
@shahnm I grew up in light purple but now live in medium grey. I will retire to deepest, darkest purple on that map just as soon as I can.
@compunaut @shahnm
I grew up in medium gray and live in medium grey.

It’s just icky here 30s low 40s and constant drizzle.
