I wonder what the price will be when Meh sells them?
9Somebody is trying to get about $10,000 for a robot dog equipped with a flamethrower, which is definitely a niche-market thing if there ever was one.

I mean, it’s already kind of wild that a cutting edge flame throwing murder robot can be had at retail for less than a well-equipped used Kia, but we’ll do our best.
I might buy one at the right price. It would nicely reinforce the point of the "No Soliciting" sign on the porch.
But is it housebroken?
(Asking for a friend.)
@macromeh no but it’ll break your house
If Meh sells them cheap enough I might be in for one. Now if it was a cat then I would use both accounts to load up.
Something tells me that they won’t build enough of those to end up with a large overstock to liquidate, unfortunately.
Maybe if we’re lucky we will get some Chinese knockoff flamethrowing robot dog?
@danoinct At that price it already must be a Chinese knockoff, if it even is real. Pretty sure a Boston Dynamics one would cost much more than that. Not to mention what looks like a military-grade flamethrower; pretty sure not legal to own that here.
It’s fun for discussion but pretty sure this is a bogus ad.

Dad had like three of those when we cleaned out the basement in 2023 NIB. I believe they were on deep discount at target or at goodwill way back then
Strap on a propane “flame thrower”
Well, if properly programmed, it would give porch pirates a reason to buy new underwear. Though I suspect that there are legal issues with employment of such things even against the miscreants who are outright stealing and trespassing.
@Jackinga it was a thing. Without the burning flesh
