I think they're still available..but I want a meh discount on one. Judging by the walkie talkies that they have up for sale right now... meh will probably be able to get some of these by 2083
@unixrab Thanks! That, and the phosphor light, and the lightsaber attachment, I'm justifying $550 in my head now for something I didn't know existed 15 minutes ago.
My girlfriend seriously asked, "would you really buy something like that?"
I tried to say no. I tried to believe it, even. But she knew better.
@unixrab How about some sort of forwarding service like the Koreans use to buy stuff from here? There's surely one in Hong Kong, where they appear to be based.
For a fraction of a second I thought they were bowling balls. But you can't have it anyway because some jackasses point things at airplanes.
@walarney I got one of those green laser pointers that could hit airplanes from woot years ago. It was awesome to play with it in the fog.

I found the actual youtube video, and played the whole thing. They claimed it was a custom built 500mW blue laser.
here's a 700mw for 2 hunskies , change the wattage to 2Full Watts and the price goes to $400

@djslack wait... My girlfriend wants to go out of the country in March. Think I'd have problems bringing one back on a plane?
@djslack "Dear Beloved Daughter in PacNW... Can you get to a UPS store in BC? I'll compensate expenses and a little bonus cash ~ Love Dad"
@djslack Buy some cheap Light Sabre - toss the light sabre and replace with laser ?

@djslack Get while the gettin' is good... I doubt they'll be legal much longer: http://www.laserpointersafety.com/class4lasers/class4lasers/june2010alert.html
@simbm...and... I've held off from buying it... but I'm weakening.
@simbm... now it appears ... my indecision has spoiled it
I would attach it to my Accu Force Helicopter.
Assuming my roommate hasn't broken it by flying it drunk yet.
@grum If you live in D.C. I may have some bad news for you
@unixrab 40W laser "shotgun"
@walarney - I guess I'm going to have to learn how to build these things myself. Thx for the vid
