@carl669 not "indecisive" So much as "working when the clock strikes midnight, so I can't get on it immediately, and even though checking meh.com is the first thing I do when I get my phone out of my locker, that's still not good enough sometimes, which leaves in a state of rage that has my coworkers a little worried, especially when I yell about something being sold out even though I would never have bought it if it was available, like today's alarm clocks"
@MrMark@Kidsandliz buying more also represents a greater risk. What if meh thinks something is awesome (Sphero), and buys a ton.. but the interwebs don't like it and it doesn't sell? They have to eat a lot of that cost..
Do you think they do this to program everyone to show up at midnight? Though, I guess if you had the alarm clock you'd have a better chance of getting here on time.
All I had to do was approve my order and order the damn thing, but I just HAD to go over to amazon and look into it a little first... it didn't even last 15 mins...
@tachyon When in doubt, just buy it. You've got one hour to cancel your order from meh.com/orders (a little red "cancel" link will show in status for one hour).
@Pavlov I'm going to have to do that from now on. I missed out on two deals lately while responding to messages in the forum and reading reviews. Then deciding I want one, it was sold out.
@Pavlov been resisting saying that out loud since it amps up the sell rate even faster. But I suppose thanks are in order - for helping them to sell out faster, thereby blocking the hoarder instinct.
@RedOak I wonder if @JonT has access to some numbers . . . I'd be interested to know how many actually cancel out (avg / night) and if there is a correlation to sale price, etc.
@Pavlov those would be interesting stats. I also wonder what percentage of users are aware: 1) that you can cancel an order yourself via the link on the orders page, and 2) if yes, that meh changed the cancel window to 60 minutes near the start of the year (surely @MEHcus (?) and @hollboll appreciated that change).
@JonT As a Patriots (born and bred) I rarely cry, except when we play the Giants in the Superbowl. Let the hazing of this-gate, that-gate begin from the gallery.
I think Meh was founded on the idea of community and the opportunity to buy decent products at a fair price. So far so good. However, given the fact that anything "good" sells out in such a short time that few have a chance to purchase it the concept is a major FAIL! Ok, for now they are selling product but down the road people will start to drop out and quit even looking. They will hang on for awhile but their growth will be stunted and the real potential never realized. Do the people at Meh care, it appears not. They should not put something up for sale unless a customer outside of California can get up at 6 AM and have at least a reasonable chance of purchasing it. Does not happen now. I have just about had it and I know many others who feel exactly the same. Wake up Meh!!!!
A new product is in the works here that ties your alarm clock's "snooze" button with buying from meh. This should address most concerns about missing out on deals. However, preliminary testing has bankrupted several members of staff from our propensity to abuse the button...
@dashcloud We were exploring a pilot program using trained vultures to peck out the necessary keystrokes and mouse clicks but due to fish and wildlife commission regulations, and fears that our older patrons may react negatively to the appearance, it has been moved to the back burner.
translation: "I WANT MEH TO NOT MAKE MONEY SO DAMNED FAST AND GIVE MY INDECISIVE ASS MORE TIME TO MAKE UP MY MIND!!"
@carl669 THAT IS VERY TRUE!!!! DAMN THIS INTERNET MARKETPLACE!!!
@thekenya AND DAMN THIS STUCK CAPS LOck key... I ...uhhh... never mind.
@carl669 Or meh can just buy more of any given item. Not to mention sell outs mean less for the fuku's...

@Kidsandliz Buying more assumes an option of endless supply. At these low prices, more likely than not, meh bought up all the supply.
@MrMark @Kidsandliz buying more also represents a greater risk. What if meh thinks something is awesome (Sphero), and buys a ton.. but the interwebs don't like it and it doesn't sell? They have to eat a lot of that cost..
@kadagan
I"m very tempted to just say 'I like purple'
Only thing is, I HATE purple
@Cerridwyn Oh no!
@Barney

Show Meh how you feel:

@pepsiwine
@JonT Sorry, I have to say it. Taylor Swift is a raging c**t
@ThatsHeadly
Yeah . . . but given the chance, I'd saddle up for the ride.
I just . . .
Have.
No.
Chance.
That gif is smoking hot, BTW.
@ThatsHeadly
@Pavlov I'm sure she's just fine if she keeps her mouth shut, or, uh doesn't talk.
Tswift is a national treasure
@ThatsHeadly @Pavlov ಠ_ಠ
@matthew I wouldn't mind mapping that treasure.

@RedOak
Help on the way:
We feast on your tears.
@JonT
@JonT I'm speechless and disgusted with your customer service. With that being said, I will see you here tomorrow night at 9:00 PM PST
@thekenya its like Stockholm syndrome, the sellouts keep happenening, the speaker docks come every friday, yet at 12:01 EST here we are
@JonT Sadly, all Raider fans have are tears.
@mfladd oh I know, as a Chargers fan it physically hurt me a little to post it.
@JonT As a Patriots (born and bred) I rarely cry, except when we play the Giants in the Superbowl. Let the hazing of this-gate, that-gate begin from the gallery.
@JonT Oh, after that podcast I am soooo sending you a Patriots hat.
Today's sellout is nothing to lose sleep over.
@cengland0 i'd play a rimshot but i don't want to wake anyone up
I would no sooner want this awful 100 dB alarm clock in my house than I would a rabid badger on cialis. I thank the gods that one is not on its way.
@amillar7
@carl669 I think he's begging for all the cancelled orders to be placed in one box and shipped to him tout de suite!

@davidehi I think you need to wake up...a little earlier so you can get in on the deals!
@pitamuffin Well, I think you mean you should never go to bed!

@NigelF This could be a problem, as I don't use the snooze button. Any ideas?
