I just want to know if I can use Meh as a tax deduction?
6Since I feel like I am supporting a good cause do you think I can use Meh under a writeoff for Charity or even better a Dependant? I feel like I’m donating to a good cause, I also feel like I am dependent on you at least six months out of a year? Can I get a hell yeah! No audits allowed already had my limit of 5 for the last 20 yrs.

Probably not. Maybe under medical expenses, though. Meh forums = therapy sessions?
(Or is it that you need therapy sessions after spending time here? I’m not sure …)
I’d go with the home office deduction. What home office isn’t furnished with a nice blender, a few knives, some speaker docks, wireless camers, backpacks, socks (men’s AND women’s… for clients), flashlights, down pillows, power banks, bluetoothy things, …
/giphy you get the picture
I wrote off a bunch of meh items for our AirBNB house in upstate NY in 2015/2016: BEM Academia desklamp/speakerdock, Dyson vacuum, Coffee Makers, Rope light, Rubbermaid mop, steak knives, Philips bookshelf speakers, IP cameras (for watching the driveway/meadows), pillows, comforters, desk lamps, hamilton mixer, 2 different space heaters, gummy bears. For 2017, maybe I’ll install and write off a pair of BioBidets.
Edit: come to think of it… I didn’t write off enough of this crap that ended up at our AirBNB home. One of my guests even left a comment in her review about speaker docks and extra phone chargers!
@caffeineguy You wrote off gummy bears? Awesome!
@caffeineguy I think I need to know more about this house. Near a ski area? Link?
@cinoclav Not really a ski-destination. But a good spot for Finger lakes, wineries, Cornell University and Ithaca College. [House in the Woods][1]
I need to update the photos a bit

@caffeineguy
Sigh. That’s gorgeous.
I’d embed the pix here, but not sure you want that. Anyway, congrats for owning that place.
If your business is buying crap for your local Salvation Army/Goodwill, certainly.
@RedOak This has some truth to it. I bought 20 pairs of sunglasses to give out to homeless people at the local soup kitchen.
@OldCatLady You can’t eat sunglasses!
/giphy eyeroll
@OldCatLady my guess is, assuming the hoarder-grip can be released, most of the crap sold on meh should end up as donated to a cause.
If not immediately, then within months.
Wow thanks to all of you for your input. I might actually get some big money back this year. I promise I won’t tell a soul where I got my info. By the way couldn’t the sunglasses be a writeoff if they are given to blind people in the local soup kitchens? Heck I heard if you get food stamps you can buy color tv’s, cd players and computer equipment, you just have to know where to shop. Ummmm Meh do you take food stamps cause if you do I’m gonna go sign up for some?
