I won’t do Ambien and Restoril and similar unless quite ill which I never am. The times I tried I had rebound. And - just dont wish to rely on it.

Sorry you are sick. That sucks. Try Sudafed 12 hour (that you likely can’t buy over the counter anymore) as using that drys you up and means you can breath at night. I am finally recovering from a cold that has lasted 5 weeks and that saved me initially so I could actually more or less lie down to sleep.
You can still by the classic pseudoephedrine at least in Texas.
They have the other ineffective stuff out on the shelves. If you want the real pseudoephedrine you have to go to the pharmacy counter and let them scan your DL. There is a limit on what you can purchase every 90 days. The limit is no prob for use w a cold. Limit is insufficient for a meth lab tho.
@compunaut@f00l Well I have contemplated running away from home on occasion. I have also thought that being kidnapped by pirates on a tall ship in the Caribbean would be nice (and so don’t send the ransom for at least a month)… at least now I don’t have to worry about what DHS would take a grim view about (for example chaining a teen to their bed at night to prevent window escapes) since technically they only deal with under 18… unfortunately in this case over 18 can behave, on occasion, like 12 too… and I am reasonably sure no jury would convict me because it would be justifiable homicide…
@f00l yeah when I use to intake drug cases at our da’s office, the people that had meth labs could get all of this medication they wanted to. However, if you were sick and kept getting colds, good luck getting more of this drug that is kept locked up because you can only buy it every 90 days with your dl!

15 years ago rural Walmarts found that people would come in and steal all the pseudoephedrine they had. Used extra people as decoys. Meth labs everywhere. I had allergies and the pharmacist would shrug and look at me funny. I stopped asking.
Even after Walmart starting locking the display shelves people would just break the lock and steal it all.
Finally it went behind the counter - even before the law changed.
Now all the surrounding rural counties have these new drug sniffer cars. If the cars go out on the right days, the lab inside the car that does automatic fast air analysis can find any labs close to a road - normal set-back rural house distance - if the lab is active.
And not so much before that you could get ephedrine - white crosses - at any truck stop and at many fuel stations along trucking routes.
My head is better. I just drank hot liquids & breathed in steam & took a couple hot showers.
I feel better today, but we’ll see… I’ll have an Airborne & maybe get some chicken tortilla soup.
Then stop chasing them.

Zinc lozenges. Advil. Mucinex. Saline nasal spray. Rest. Misery.

Melatonin. Cheap at Walmart or anywhere. Take lots if needed. It never hurt anybody.

@f00l in Florida you can buy it with your DL at the pharmacy, no problem.
