@thismyusername Bad news-they sold out before I could even get on the site. Good news-I'm gonna make my own fukubukro at home depot tomorrow. To drown my sorrows. lol
@mamawoot I like this idea! For that element of surprise get a blindfold and a basket and whatever you topple from the shelves is part of your fukubukuro. The employees may make a show of looking a bit miffed, but they'll understand.
@cercopithecoid You do realize that they stock things made of metal and other heavy building material on those shelves? Are you trying to get @mamawoot impaled or crushed or suffer some other gory means of demise ?
@ceagee That's an excellent point and please be assured that I wish nothing but the best for anyone here. So to amend my suggestion for zen consumerism, perhaps a hardhat is in order along with a restriction to aisles stocking only light, non-impaling, non-crushing items. Or maybe a distance selection process. Besides the blindfold, maybe a bowling ball and a hearty "clear the aisle".
a ton of mine broke. I finished the captchas and even pasted all of them and it still wouldnt open the last one until I had to leave and come back. Total cluster. How about actually testing that shit
@msujp ya know I wanted to Bitch about it being a pain to even see the normal forum list. But Bitching about the fuku is just silly. The fuku is always completely unfair. A new way to make it unfair and more random is always welcome.
@luvche21 no having captchas that didnt work was not the plan. It was plain as day what you had to do but all of my captchas failed and crashed to coding. So I had no chance, I beat the others but could not buy because of mehs end not because it was "hard"
Not mad, but definitely short on sleep. Heading to the gym to work off some calories. Then I'll come home and run my lovely Roomba (from a previous Fukubukuro) to clean the house, and take a nap.
@compunaut This is true... I refreshed the page too early and ended up with all the captchas on the page but the item on the page was still the headphones from yesterday. I did about half the captchas before I realized and refreshed again. By the time I was half way done with the captchas on the right page I thought I'd missed my chance but would finish for the fun of it. Turns out I still had time and was able to get one but I went into it fully expecting not to get one and didn't mind.
I was furious when the checkout screen made me captcha and then was sold out ... then after about 5 minutes I realized how hilarious it was. Well trolled, meh.
(I do wish that, in general, you had a fix for "item in cart is already sold out.")
Next time maybe they can do a Fuku lottery. Pick a number between 1 and 500,000, if you guess correct you get to buy a Fuku. If you are wrong you can come to the forums to bitch about how something did not work. I have no idea if they can even do that or if it is legal. I rarely sign on at Fuku time so not getting one is normal for me. 1 guess per account
Good news... they were selling a fukObukaro tonight.

@cercopithecoid I think there's a possible game show in that "bowling ball and hearty 'clear the aisle'" idea.
@cercopithecoid A hardhat with a tiara glued on, please.
@ceagee Actually, it's by Ray Henderson and Lou Brown, 1931. /musicals nerd
I'm a little mad - far as I can tell I finished all the captchas in time but 1 broke and got stuck :(

@msujp I'm pretty sure that making it a painful experience was the point...

@carl669
It crashed my phone. Then I used my other phone. Several minutes in, I gave up.
Then I went back to pondering if I needed another catshirt ...

@narfcake Don't leave us in suspense here- did you buy another catshirt or not?
@dashcloud Ummm ... uhhh ... ... PURPLE!
(cuteofthemonth.com subscription = free shipping at TT.)
@narfcake Oooh, I might just LOVE that shirt!
@jaremelz I included the link for a reason. :)

It was kinda fun, as long as you had no illusions of 'winning'.
