How to: Google
1It has become painfully obvious over the past couple of months that whoever adds the quips regarding model numbers on Google has sub-par Googling skills. Googling JUST a model number is like searching for “brake pads” and expecting (or even just hoping that) the pads for your make/model/year vehicle will be returned as the top result.
I have taken the liberty to submit a query to google on your behalf, for the Ginsu knives. Link below.
Now… If only there were some sort of number - I don’t know… some type of Universal Product Code - that could be provided instead of a model number, that Meh could include that would narrow down the results. But then again, what would we even call such a uniquely identifying number, anyway?
tl;dr: At least one Meh writer’s Google-Fu skills need much training.

But wouldn’t you agree that it makes a model number better if you don’t have to do anything but google the model number and get the right result?

Someone has a hard time realizing the model number is not at least “GINSU-5212” like it should be then. I bet their warehouse system sucks. “We have 5515 5212 and 41210 04522 but they ordered 12150 5212. How many of each am I supposed to ship to 04212 on invoice 05231?”

@snapster If someone’s WMS uses pick tickets and invoices with only a numeric value for reference numbers, the programmer needs a lesson in how to warehouse.
@snapster Also, if the number was GINSU-5212 we would have been reading about how the dash made it impossible to double-click that baby and copy it.
