I got one a few years ago that had a full copper pot and pan set along with some awesome socks and random toys.
Just got my second one today, big backpack, face masks, aftershave and a sonic toothbrush, pretty happy with it!
@phendrick Remember when they had that week of contests, the last Fuko/Fuku, then they went to the IRK?
I played just to play, figuring I’d only get one, but I got a bunch of participation bags. I even got one for a real life friend who is a Meh member, just by mentioning her name. I didn’t include that one in my count.
And I didn’t include my kickstarter bag either. That one had a brand new iPad mini in it.
@phendrick It’s a combination of stalking, slacking off at work, and a desire to be the champion. I trained a lot at woot.
Close to half of them came from winning contests and such of the forums.
A few came from cheating the system before the mehrathon was a thing, when they only sold the Fuko. You could reuse the same checkout url from earlier in the morning, and “pre-complete” the captcha. Then you just had to submit the order the second the sale went live again.
Of the purchased ones, most are just from following the normal process. Refreshing every few seconds, making sure your mouse is lined up with the buy button, you are logged in, credit card info current etc. I also rarely get captcha aside from clicking not a robot. Not sure if it’s because I log into gmail before or not.
I’ve also had to buy from my phone before while away from a computer
I got one once a couple years ago, but never got it, I think it might have been stolen off my porch, or just never made it to me? It was right after my head injury and things from then are still very blurry. So I’m excited; it’s like this is my first one!!!
1 Fuku before they started using Google’s STOPYA, the one that you had to buy through Morning Save, and somehow an IRK last week.
I will only try for them if they happen to come up while I am browsing. Google’s STOPYA usually makes me click through 4 or 5 picture games before it is convinced I should be shown the SOLD OUT message. Interestingly the one IRK I bought was when I was using Chrome while at work. At home I almost never use Chrome.
@PooltoyWolf Thing I didn’t mention is that our daughter keeps all the money for herself and doesn’t give us any of it. Same with new Martian Smart Watch I got in my last IRK-she sold it for $ 85 and I never saw a dime of it.
The first one had a few comic books from the ‘90’s (I gave those to my neighbor) and a refurb chromebook. The second just arrived today with a pair of compression socks, a foam roller for working out sore muscles, a black and pink carry-on suitcase, and a set of rowkin wireless earbuds.
If I got 900 fitness bands, I don’t think I’d order another one. Yikes
@raccoon81 Save them. You will need them when grocery stores no longer provide paper or plastic bags. And you would be surprised how quickly you can go through these bags. (They get pretty nasty with gunk, or they break, or whatever.)
