Sunday - Weekend
Monday - Can’t bear being sober, no work due to need to drink
Tuesday - Horrible hangover, can’t go to work
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday - Almost the weekend
Saturday - Weekend
I normally work 1 day a week. For some reason they gave me the day off, which I don’t even know if they can legally do, so I don’t work this week! Which is fine. Getting up at 1 in the morning kind of sucks.
@ConradHilton I work in retail. I only work one day a week because I’m normally at school the other days and I use Sunday to work on homework. It might not be legal though because if I am a part-time 8 then I would be guaranteed 8 hours a week, which is my one day. That said, I don’t know that part-time 8 is actually a real status, so it may be fine. Like I said, I’m fine with it anyways because I don’t really like the job so if they want to give me the day off, I’ll take it!
I should have said six days instead of four. I’m working four days at my full-time job. At some point I’ll work 4-5 hours doing the books for my wife’s vet clinic. And, for the first time in at least 20 years (and maybe forever), I have a New Year’s Eve gig. A local-favorite guitarist asked me to sit in with him (I play bass) at a local-favorite restaurant/bar. I said yes before I found out we’re playing 5-midnight with no meal break. I’m looking forward to playing with him but not to dealing with people getting more and more drunk as midnight approaches. Normally my wife and I hole up at home on NYE and cook a prime rib roast for friends. Like my three-martini-at-lunch boss taught me in high school: NYE is amateurs’ night out so stay off the road. Luckily the gig is only five minutes from my house so I probably won’t get killed by a drunk driver.
Well, define “working,” but I’m at work all this week 'cause the other person in my role has a ton of seniority and took the whole week off. I’ve only been here for three months. Oh, well.
Early retirement here, although if the weather gets nice this afternoon and/or tomorrow I’ll put in some hours on my jeweler “job”. When I was working, the City required everyone to take vacation days this whole week so they could shut down the offices and save the money on utilities, janitorial and reduced security. That’s great for 20+ year veteran employees with 3 weeks annual leave as we used to have to fight over who was allowed to take leave, each unit had to be staffed, and many units, mine included, had only 2 or 3 employees. But closing for the week and charging vacation sucks for the 10- year employees as they only have 1 week vacation and it uses up their whole vacation, so no summer trip to Disneyland with the kids for them.
I’ll probably be working 60+ hours this week because people need cheese for New Year’s parties. Really, the holidays don’t end for me until Valentine’s day is over.
Really 2 1/2

Kiddo turns 5 on the 31st, so I took the week off with him.
Zero because work gives everyone this week off.
/giphy boom!
Am a teacher, so no work.
But I’ve been driving Uber which feels even more like work than my real work.
I’m going to be at work five days this week but mentally I’ll be somewhere else.

@Mehsturbator
What do you do that you only work 1 day a week, and it might be illegal for them to give you the day off?
@ConradHilton I’m guessing: Fluffer

Retired, so zero. Always zero. I love retirement.
@lordbowen Zero also. I recommend retirement to everyone!
Freelancer, I work every day. Which is good and bad, I guess.
/image I like money
@metageist No way! I like money too!
So far I’ve ended up working from home 2 days though which is actually more grief than actually being hardwired to the network.
My company is shut down this week, but those of us who provide (usually urgent) service to customers are working. Some things can’t wait.
I did have Friday and Monday off, though, and I’ve got next Monday off.
I would be working 6 days, if my truck could have gotten me to work, on Sunday night, but instead I’m working just 5.
They gave us until January 3rd off, so no work for me.

@SSteve
Sounds like a “grandma got run over by a reindeer” walk home. Good luck.
@jml326 I’d rather get hit by a drunk driver than play that song.
@SSteve St. Patrick’s Day is another amateur night, but I imagine it’s a good one for Guinness.
Friday off before xmas, Monday off after xmas, Friday off before New Year, Monday off after New Year.
So far I’m paying for the extra days off this week by putting in 12 and 14 hour days. Hope to do better today.
Don’t work, don’t have to. Took early retirement.

I am unemployed but today’s round 3 interview went very very well. Fingers crossed.
Didn’t have the “I work somewhere awesome that gave me the whole week off” option.
