@Foxborn I have an old roommate who would be in trouble with that. He was real excited when it appeared his condo had a flat monthly fee for water, not a bill based on usage.
@jqubed I pay for the gas but no water bill. and while it's not my normal I can easily take 20 - 30 minutes showers. I have used my fair share of all the hot water
@awk Shampoo hair, facial scrub, rinse hair, condition hair, clip hair up, soap up the loofah and scrub the rest of me starting at the shoulders, rinse hair, all done. It takes me less time to shower than it takes my husband (and my hair is past my waist). But then, I don't have a stool to sit on in my shower. lol
@jqubed Well, it's not as decadent as it sounds. We weren't blessed with children, so I took over the guest bath (I guess you'd call it) and he uses the master bath (just a sink, shower and toilet).
There's not enough room in the bedroom shower for all of our stuff. lol
Since we're still in a drought, less than 5. Bucket under the spout for cold, then switch to spray. Wet hair first, lather while wetting the body, then with soap bar, then rinse hair and the rest.
@zachdecker I looked up shower beers on google, and a reddit thread popped up. As I am not a reddit user, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. All I will say is, do not look at a shower beer thread at work, haha.
@conandlibrarian I just wonder what there is to google. You take a beer from the fridge and take it into the shower. Any beer is more delicious that way.
If you have never done this, you haven't really lived (beer-wise anyway).
I'll check the reddit later when t he kids aren't here in the room.
I have to be very, very careful with water. I have aquagenic urticaria, therefore, I can't get my stomach, back or chest wet, else I get beesting-like welts that last for hours.
Ever since I started counting seconds in the shower, as I mentioned somewhere else around here, I've been able to keep it under 10 minutes. If I don't count, though, the daydreaming, the singing, and the general neurotic rehashing of things I could've said better that one time easily push me past 15, even 20 minutes. And that's not counting time to dry off.
@jqubed "Things I could've said better" (way off topic)
Last week, over on Facebook, someone posted a meme of a refrigerator filled with vegetables. Peppers, corn on the cob, lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, just jam packed with good stuff. No meat, no dairy. And the caption was "this is how it should look".
And I answered "then you go out for fast food when there's nothing to eat".
Well, the OP didn't like that at all, said "I don't respond to ignorance". I replied "or humor".
But the thing is, she did respond. But I didn't think about that soon enough...so, the "I shoulda said" thinking started.
All you slow shower folks must get up.earlier than i. And i dont skip appendages, i just get up late and then shower while focusing on not having any apologies to make later in the day.
around 5 feet?
Depends on how many times I hit the snooze button.
@simplersimon Me too!! If I wake up at a decent time, I can take 20 minutes. If I am running late, maybe 5 minutes.
Until the hot water goes cold.
@miko1 used to do that too but not anymore LOL, I have an tankless water heater. I have yet to run out of hot water

I've got it down to 10-15 minutes with lots of practice, how the heck do people shower in 5 minutes? Do you leave out appendages?
@awk I just wash my hair and let the shampoo clean the rest of me as it rinses downward.
@hallmike I hope you never go bald.
@Mehrocco_Mole Awww, That's the nicest thing anyone has said to me all week!
@awk Shampoo, conditioner, body wash. How the heck do people need 10-15 minutes to shower?
@awk Shampoo hair, facial scrub, rinse hair, condition hair, clip hair up, soap up the loofah and scrub the rest of me starting at the shoulders, rinse hair, all done. It takes me less time to shower than it takes my husband (and my hair is past my waist). But then, I don't have a stool to sit on in my shower. lol
@lisaviolet You and your husband have separate showers?
@jqubed Well, it's not as decadent as it sounds. We weren't blessed with children, so I took over the guest bath (I guess you'd call it) and he uses the master bath (just a sink, shower and toilet).

The bucket water is used to flush the toilet.
@narfcake Not going to get into why but I learned I could take a decent shower with 1 gallon of water. used a milk jug.
@Foxborn How many squares of TP do you use?
@therealjrn a lot LOL I refuse to hold back on TP
Who bathes anymore? Showers are overrated.
made a video to win a contest about 3 minute showers by cutting that time down to one minute:
@ticklescratch It looks so nice there!!
@ticklescratch 30 seconds to get wet? too long save some of that for rinse! LOL
Less than 10 minutes usually, 15 if I'm tired/hungover...
I know some people, ahem, who take an hour.
Mine take a bit longer if I take a beer or two in with me.
Shower-beers are the best!
@zachdecker

Depends how much of me I opt to shave…

@juststephen are you sure you are not a gremlin?
@mfladd Nope. Not a gremlin. Just a guy with a buncha health issues and this being one of the more bearable ones.

And I shoulda said "I do!" with a winky face.
@lisaviolet Good one!

23 hours and 59 minutes. I use the remaining minute of the day to check Meh.
My showers take usually 27 1/2 minutes long
