TSIA. My longest streak is 15 days, and that was a long time go. I set out last week with a goal of breaking it, but it only lasted 8 days - I missed yesterday (and knives are TOTALLY meh).
I don’t remember to click the button. I remember to check Meh. And since I’m on the Meh page, I click the button. So I’ve only missed it a few times, like when I’m on vacation or something else is going on that distracts me from checking Meh.
@Kidsandliz We work M-F, but with the busy season coming it could change a bit. I did it last time as well though, we do have substantially more bodies to cover emails this time though.
I click it when I check the site every night at midnight (or, on rare occasions when I go to bed early, the next morning). It’s just become a habit I can’t break.
@tohar1 I’ve been here since the beginning and it’s an ingrained habit to check the site every day and click the face. The very first day I clicked on the “meh” to see what it did and the rest was history. I rarely buy anything anymore because they’ve sold me everything I could possibly want over the years (though I did get the phone stands recently) and I’m not on the forums nearly as much as I used to be, but they keep me coming back and seeing what’s for sale with my need to make that click.
@PurplePawprints …and I was checking out Meh on a regular basis for quite a while & had no clue I was “supposed to” click the meh button…I always wondered what that stat meant on the bottom of my page…
@tohar1 Well, I mean, it’s not something you’re “supposed” to do. I think the original purpose or thoughts from Meh was that people would click on deals they didn’t love. However, some of us see the proverbial shiny red button and have to push it, and as such, tried to have long unbroken click streaks.
I load Meh every morning with the various online comics I follow, so it’s part of my daily routine.
When I blow it, it’s usually because something has dragged me off that routine and I’m playing catch-up the next day. When I go on vacation later this year I expect to be back to square one, but I may manage to beat my previous record (232 clickies) before then.
well i recently hit around 3 sextillion meh button clicks and to be honest I’m just like you I think it was around when I was 2 quadrillion meh buttons in that I messed up and forgot but you eventually just get involved a lot with the forums or something along those lines and it becomes part of a ritual. Maybe set an alarm or a recurring calendar event so it’s not as noisy or make a
basic program in eclipse with a mouse listener and have it click it every day
Well, I get a daily email that (quite effectively) reminds me to visit the site.
Once I’m there, clicking the “meh” button is just a natural reaction to what’s being sold.
I do pretty well with the emails. But I always forget when anything disrupts my schedule or the emails don’t come. I question why I entertain this compulsion in the first place.

I just ignore it…

Don’t mess with that clicky. I’m telling ya, don’t get started with the clicky.
Forewarned.
I work there.
@Targaryen 7 days a week? Or is your pattern 5 days in a row over and over?
@Kidsandliz We work M-F, but with the busy season coming it could change a bit. I did it last time as well though, we do have substantially more bodies to cover emails this time though.
@Kidsandliz @Targaryen What do you do with the bodies when your finished with them?
@Targaryen @therealjrn I believe there are some older videos meh did on disposing of bodies using bugs… and dogs would love the bones left over.
I check every night at 11 PM. It’s part of my addiction.
Twitter text message, but also get bored a lot and check meh during the day anyway.
It’s part of how I make sure the site isn’t broken

@PurplePawprints you mean
addictionoh wait…@PurplePawprints 1519? Good Lord! You might need some professional “help”!! My personal best is 95 days…and that was just recently broken…

@PurplePawprints Honestly WTF is wrong with those people?!

Stop taking your OCD medication?

Meh is the first site I check when I am trying to wake up so I just hit the button after checking the item’s price.
Habit. Plain old habit.
I just set a little reminder -
I have a daily reminder on my phone…

@DennisG2014 A while back the emails got pretty sporadic for me. Woulda missed a few clicks if I had to rely on them.
I don’t:
@Cythwulf Seems like that is something that should be addressed at your next employment review.
