The cockroaches are getting bolder with each passing day. The seem to move with a preternatural intelligence, synchronized, purposeful, with malice. They are coming. Tell my family I love them.
Im working from home for more hours per day than Im usually gone during the day if I were to be going into the office. My dog seems really pissed that Im at home but not paying the amount of attention to her that I would usually show to her when Im home. Poor girl
Hasn’t been much change, morning routine is the same, kits get fed and watered and petted and do the under-foot and in-the-way thing for awhile and then they wander off into the house to sleep for the day as if I’ve left. If they wander out for kibble during the day they seem perplexed that I’m still around, but not enough to disrupt going back to napland. About the time I usually return they show up again, waiting for dinner and the evening’s activities. Only difference is I hadn’t left.
The dogs all crowd just outside my office door. Not a problem, kinda cute. Until I had a conference call with my team and my boss. That’s when the terrier decided to give a speech. Not his angry barks he throws at neighbor dogs or passing children (he hates children). No, these were measured sounds meant to convey how offended he was that I could be home and not be petting him. Fortunately, when I closed him in the playpen, he shut up, and the other two just lay by the door. Fortunately, everyone laughed it off.
I’ve also shrieked a couple times this week when I suddenly realized the chihuahua snuck in. I notice when she jumps up on my desk. Little ninja rat.
The ridgeback has yet to be any sort of issue beyond occasionally stealing dishes off the counter and burying them in the couch, but that happened before.
My wife is usually home with our miniature poodle Abigail. She gets up and runs to me whenever I leave the office. I think it pretty cute, even when I’m hurrying for a coffee refill between calls.
Our cats and dog absolutely love having us home. The cats are Siamese mixes, so they’re needy and people-oriented anyway, but now they’re following me everywhere all day long. I’m not tired of it yet.
Life begins when the kids move out and take the pets with them. If we want to see the pets, we visit the kids. They are only 5 minutes away. So, no change
She’s a cat. She sleeps, chirps at birds and I clean out the shitter she uses. And give her treats. Same old shit except I’m here now for 10 more hours a day.
My 13 year old dog has barely left my side since I’ve been staying home. She sleeping at (on) my feet as I type this. 'Course I’m the one who feeds her and takes her for walks, so I’m sure that influences her preferences.
Home all the time anyway. LBD’s fur has grown and he’s getting a little bit more easy to handle when I try to trim his face. (Never point the scissors towards the eyes.)
Anyway, right now he looks like he has a pretty bad case of bedhead. All the time. But you can see his eyes!
@dvermilion@medz Mine sort of “chitters” at birds - kind of a fretful high muttering sound.
But OMG that is ADORABLE - he actually tolerates the bunny hat!?

@TheGreatNico Maybe just squash them.
@TheGreatNico If any living thing will survive the apocalypse, we all know whose food we will be.
@hchavers @TheGreatNico I heard that the plants are saying that their human farming is going well.
I don’t currently have any pets.
Unless you count the kids…
And it’s not how they’re handling it that’s the issue…!
@shahnm But your batteries are fine. Right??? Please tell me they are fine!!!
@Kidsandliz Well of course. I always have plenty of stock of those lovelies, tucked safely away in the refrigerators… I mean, what idiot wouldn’t?!?
I have no pets because usually I’m at work all the time.
My cat is loving that I’m home, but I’ve been sick as a dog, so I haven’t been able to give her as much attention as she’d probably like.
@Knightp Are you barking at her?
@hchavers I guess my coughing could be considered barking. She’s been so good while I’ve been sick.

I’m at work a little more than normal, but so far no dog desertion behavioral issues.

@hchavers Wow - sounds like your wife really, really craves your attention.
My SO thinks this all was a secret plot by our dog and me to get my son home from college several states away.
Dog is in heaven with everyone home.
No pets here.
No pets and I still go to work. Nothing has changed.
I’m sure they love it my girlfriend is home, all the time, but I am still working my regular schedule.
Last year I started working from home and found out from my neighbor recently that my dog now has separation anxiety and barks if we are all out.
All my pets are either stuffed animals made that way or formerly wild game that are now stuffed… They haven’t said a word, so I assume they’re fine.

Mine hasn’t really expressed an opinion
But seriously - I’ve been WFH for 12 years - my life has changed so little it’s a tad sad I suppose. Not that I’m complaining.
Also - he’s the best boy ever

Dog hasn’t had his nap in two weeks with the kids home. He’s super pissy about it.
He loves having me home and has definitely bonded with me more. He’s more needy than he’s ever been.
Not much change.
Chevy is 14 yrs old & we’re retired.
@daveinwarsh
And Chevy is gorgeous!
Rocky’s getting extra rubby dubs.
Hattie likes to pin me down when it’s time to get up.
Indifference - but with two cats that’s to be expected

My pets are free range squirrels. They don’t seem to mind.

More pet pictures please!!!
My free range squirrels love the trees and fences. I have not noticed a difference.
By pets, you mean human children, right? They’re loving it.
The herd is perplexed but pleased
@KittySprinkles and no I can’t seem to get the border to go away. Meh.
@KittySprinkles
My cat ate a fly today.
This was taken yesterday.
@medz does he/she bark at birds like some cats do? Mine meows like an idiot cause he hasn’t been around other cats since he was adopted as a bb.
@dvermilion @medz Mine sort of “chitters” at birds - kind of a fretful high muttering sound.
But OMG that is ADORABLE - he actually tolerates the bunny hat!?
My cats are doing their usual sleep a zillion hours a day routine, although attempting to nap on me is common.
Where is the " I don’t have a pet " option?
Gertie is tolerating the imposition.
The tropical fish haven’t voiced an opinion.
