The Benefits of Incomplete Sentences in AI-Generated Content
At first glance, incomplete sentences might seem like a flaw, but there’s a quirky side to it! Here are a couple of unexpected benefits:
Creative Exploration: Incomplete sentences can spark creativity. Imagine reading a sentence that ends abruptly—your mind might start filling in the blanks in unexpected ways, leading to more creative ideas. AI’s imperfection can act as a creative prompt.
Casual, Conversational Tone: Sometimes, leaving a sentence incomplete mimics the style of a casual conversation. It’s like when someone in real life starts talking but leaves their sentence hanging, relying on the listener to fill in the rest. This style can be a fun way for AI to create more relaxed and informal content.
Thankfully I have never had much trouble sleeping.
I tell people all the time if I get still and/or horizontal I go to sleep. This includes the ability to sleep in a plane, train, boat, car… sitting up, noisy, lit up or whatever. This was a great skill to have as an EMT since I never knew when (or how long) I could sleep during a shift. Of course dozing off when we have company does annoy SWMBO a bit… but hey, maybe they will take the hint!
I just spent 2 months at my parents’ place recovering from knee surgery. It took a good month before I could find a comfortable sleep position. Now that I’m back in my own bed, I’m having trouble getting comfortable because my nice firm need now feels like I’m sleeping on a piece of plywood. My parents’ need was firm, too, but there was a bit of cushioning. I wonder if they make mattress pads that are cushiony to soften my mattress a bit?
@lisagd there are tons of them made of plastic “memory foam.” And I don’t like them.
I was able to find a “mattress topper” of feathers about 2” thick. It is my favorite.
BTW feather bed mattresses used to common in Europe and probably early America for hundreds of years. The mattress topper gives you a but of that while being on a “modern” bed. Hint: the new stuff is not always better than the old stuff. And make sure you are not just getting a polyester one; not the same feeling at all.
This is my happy face. :eeyore:
SO how am i sleeping these day… well in the Bed of course!
@mycya4me I tried it while driving once. Don’t do that!
@pmarin I agree with you. Not Safe for your health
@mycya4me
At night, mostly.
@PhysAssist Yep I agree. at nite in a bed. BTW how does it feel to being an EX Goat?
@mycya4me As you said…
It certainly feels better than being the goat…
Sleeping are fine. mediocrebot needs a proofreader.
@stolicat Or less alcohol.
@stolicat @yakkoTDI I think you’re onto something; maybe if he goes to rehab he’ll be less of an asshole? Although, that’s pretty much his brand, so…
@ircon96 @stolicat @yakkoTDI
Maybe they farmed out their job off-shore?
@chienfou @ircon96 @stolicat @yakkoTDI All your base are belong to us.
@ircon96
No, no, no…
I am not fully adjusted back to my time zone but maybe another day or two.
Mostly horizontal at nights.
KuoH
@kuoh There’s the Minbari option.

@accelerator
Well that was a fail…
@accelerator @chienfou I am not sure I still think we are all facing a bot/AI takeover.
By the way another successful Elon Musk Starlink launch earlier this hour.

I won’t be until you fix this question…
