@Pony@sammydog01 but I have heard that those in the Amateur radio community amateur radio community(aka Ham Radio) can install a Radio antenna. Since they do provide community service during Times emergency/ natural disasters/ storms. The HOA can’t demand that it be removed! Of course the radio operator will try to disguise it.
@lisagd She even used seasonal decorations like flower crowns and santa hats which was hard because hers was upright. She probably could have fought it because it was up for five years but decided it wasn’t worth it. Maybe I’ll offer help putting it back up in October when it’s allowed. I like the flamingos.
@algae1221 I forget who we need to flag to start selling the skeletons in his trunk. Some may have been in there long enough that instead of being skin and bones they are just bones.
@algae1221@Kidsandliz@Kyeh@yakkoTDI You gotta be careful, though, if you go local. A lovely couple in the next town over from me got caught, so idk how we’ll manage a green Halloween this year! But seriously, this whole thing is next-level creepy, even for the weirdos around these parts!
@algae1221@Kidsandliz@Kyeh@yakkoTDI ha! I miss y’all! I need to get back in here. Life has just been so insane the last 18 months. Also the murder shed is being murdered!!! I’m so sad. Insurance is actually going to support the claim the Englishman put in from when the foundation collapsed. I’m definitely going to take pictures and probably paint a canvas because the new building will be way less murdery.
In other news I’m painting the house and it’s slow going but it looks pretty ace! Hoping to be done in a few days!
I once painted, single handedly with a ladder only, a 6500 square foot Tudor style house. I sure could have used the boom lift. It was pretty scary doing the attic. I could barely leverage the ladder or control it getting it up and down.
The person who hired me was a friend of mom mom’s from college and she had my sister and I do all sorts of weird things in her house like contact paper in the front hall closet instead of wall paper. I learned how to fix really fancy and at least 18" wide (12 foot ceilings) plaster crown moldings. I also took a ton of used, colored, broken small pieces of glass bathroom tile and created a cool abstract piece of art around the sink in their bar, we created a cement dam in the basement to try to keep the water out of the washer and dryer area (that didn’t work very well as the wall wasn’t high enough and leaked where the cement was put on top of the cement floor), used shoe polish over the solid wood front door (yeah she had some weird ideas). We also did “normal” painting.
I was also paid to take her two kids to ice skating lessons and sit while they had their lessons… Basically she hired us for hours spent doing whatever she wanted us to do. Once my sister apologized that the butt of one of her kids had a paint hand (my sister put it there at high speed ) print on it due to the kid being a jerk putting her hands all over the fresh paint on the wall.
@algae1221@Kidsandliz@Kyeh@yakkoTDI yeah we’re in a strange area. We’re the start of the rural. We have quite a bit of privacy tbh. You’d have to stop in the middle of a somewhat busy road or pull into our driveway to actually look into the windows. The giant firs would make it more difficult but not impossible for a drone to be there.
@algae1221@Kidsandliz@yakkoTDI @sillyheathen I love the colors!!!
Around here I’ve been seeing a lot of houses painted black. I hate it - they look so grim.

@algae1221@Kyeh@sillyheathen@yakkoTDI A black house, besides being awful to look at, if you are in a high heat and high humidity area would increase your cooling costs dramatically. Not even close to practical in the south. Of course some people have more money than sense.
@algae1221@Kidsandliz
Well fuck, why don’t we just go and dig them up? My god, You don’t want us buying plastic skeletons for Halloween but don’t offer any solutions lol. Pick and choose your battles! Some are worth more than others!
Home Depot skeleton and pumpkin head skeleton (12 foot) are both in stock with free ship to store.
On a sad note the homeowners association made my friend take down her giant T-Rex skeleton because they have no sense of whimsy.
@sammydog01 This is exactly why We have never bought a house with a HOA. They are soulless.
@sammydog01 I guess this picture wasn’t taken in you neighborhood, then.

@lisagd @sammydog01 Did she demand to see the “no whimsy” clause in the Humorless Old Arses rule book?

@Kidsandliz I think maybe that’s @yakkoTDI? I forget who has the murder shed but they might also be a possible source.
@algae1221 @Kidsandliz @yakkoTDI
@Sillyheathen Murder shed
@algae1221 @Kidsandliz @Kyeh My trunk is at your service. Although if the new part fixes my issue it may be upgraded to a Volkswagen wagon.

@algae1221 I might have some skeletons tucked away somewhere in my closet, I’ll have to check…

No skeletons but a crazy creepy lady on a boom lift.
@sillyheathen Sorry to hear about the shed. I really like what you did with the house and I’d like to use the boom lift when you’re done with it!
@algae1221 @Kyeh @sillyheathen @yakkoTDI I presume the side of the house that is all windows faces somewhere with no neighbors and drones to look in?
