Where has this past month gone gone?!? Whether that’s a blame or unblame to this month’s goat @mehgrl is up to you, but it does mean that it’s time to nominate another mehmber (or not) for the meh goat of the month!
I’ll nominate @IndifferentDude because I like their name and they’ve been here since 2015. Seems only fair they shouldn’t escape nomination after all this time.
He is not indifferent if you read some of his political posts.
I hadn’t noticed that being politically dogmatic was a disqualifier…
If someone takes goathood as an opportunity to rile political acrimony, I’ll avoid the thread, with the possible exception of an occasional blame for the resultant incivility, even if I generally agree with their positions. But I guess for those who can’t avoid triggering or being triggered by people with different opinions, nominate accordingly.
I’ve always up for a second run if you can’t come to a consensus. Free therapy is much less expensive than actual therapy, so I’m happy to jump in with both feet if need be. I have so many words I need to get rid of
@capnjb I never read anywhere we their were term limits (consecutive or not) for goats. Maybe the powers that be could comment on that. Since the pickings of people who have not be goated is getting thin why not recycle some of the best ones for a second run.
After reading some dissenting opinions regarding my unexpected nomination I’ve decided that in order to avoid any potential of possibly triggering those opposed, I respectfully request to have my nomination withdrawn. Feel free to choose @Jackinga or @capnjb (or whomever you’d like). Thanks.
@IndifferentDude Might be a bit late for that, if declining the nom worked. Protestations of unwillingness (for whatever reason) have not seemed to sway the electorate, and in the time I’ve been here, the admins have never done more than simply stand back and let the process run. Anyway, if you get elected, there’s nothing saying that you can’t ghost the thread; it’s been done. OTOH, I think maybe folks just might try to avoid poking you with a sharp stick in the blame/unblame postings; that’s kind of counterproductive.
@IndifferentDude I got voted for even when I posted a death certificate - although I had missed that bullet for several years with probably a half dozen nominations.

@heartny Seconded.
@heartny @Trinityscrew not sure what we are doing but… you have my vote as well.
@heartny plus he has a seriously impressive meh button streak going on right now.
@heartny I don’t care. Either way.
@ybmuG So you’re basically Indifferent too.
@heartny
@heartny @ironcheftoni
Wow, you’re right! Doesn’t seem so indifferent as he claims.
@heartny @ironcheftoni @Kyeh He is not indifferent if you read some of his political posts.
@Felton10 Feel free to nominate an alternate. The option for @mediocrebot or no mehmber at all always exists.
@Felton10 @heartny @ironcheftoni
Yeah, I’ve noticed.
@Felton10 @heartny @ironcheftoni @Kyeh

@heartny @ironcheftoni @ybmuG To be fair,@Felton10, you’ve got strong political opinions, but you did keep it out of your goat tenure.

@capnjb @Felton10 As someone who’s been here since before day zero:
Indirectly, we’ve had mehmbers that served more than a month before.
Participation is encouraged but not required. Silent goats have happened.
There really aren’t any rules beyond the standard no BULLSHIT and political discussion should be in a separate thread. That’s about it.
@capnjb @Felton10 I mean there was the one name change. Something about a kitten and sprinkles.
And then the two apparently very talented pets. That I’m sure learned typing

Cough Walter cough
Maybe more a tradition than a rule though. But beating a dead goat? Meh?
@Jackinga isn’t a frequent poster, but he’s certainly quite eloquent when he does post!

@IndifferentDude @werehatrack I exist here simply to count the votes. The forum makes the magic.

@IndifferentDude sorry, no bowing out. If you are voted in, you are goat!
