Discount from what? MSRP?

Background: Sometimes I visit the Land of Make Believe where I start a business that sounds impractical, beat the odds, and succeed. Today's fantasy is that I am invited to "game night" by people and I bring all the games. Actually, that's reality. The fantasy is that I have extra copies of the games with me and people buy them from me while the fun is still fresh on their minds. The fantasy ends when I realize that I'm the Tupperware lady no one likes, and I don't want to badger my friends into becoming independent sales consultants or beg them to host a "party" for me to hawk my wares.

It sounds like it is off the MSRP. Since the discount kicks in at $0.00, if it's off the wholesale price then the wholesale price is meaningless. However, it doesn't sound like your game night idea would work since to get the discount you need a zoned business or retail location. :(
Yeah, it sounds like a pretty standard 40% wholesale discount off of retail. I don't feel like downloading a pdf; what do you have to do to prove you're a retailer? How much do you have to buy per order? How much money and storage space do you have to keep stocked? How long would someone have to wait for a game if you were out of stock?
Anyway, I love Tuppeware ladies. It was the PartyLite ladies I couldn't stand.
Gaming conventions are just really big parties. A few vendors at the conventions actually sell enough products to pay themselves above minimum wage. Others just do it to offset some of the expenses of their gaming habit, and because they like hanging out with gamers.
If you run your business to have fun and allow you to spend more time gaming, it might go somewhere and you might make money.
