We got our first several inches over the weekend in southern Michigan. Three more last night. I think we can say winter has arrived even though it was mid-70’s well into the middle of October. And it’s supposed to be low 50’s Thursday, and snow again on Friday. Gotta love Michigan!
I grew up in California and live there now but have lived in Utah, New Mexico and Oklahoma, all of which have winter snow. I L O V E living in the snow. I love the cold, I love shoveling the drive, waking up to a world completely devoid of sound until the loud crack of the icicle breaking off the roofline breaks the silence. I L O V E living in the snow!! It is my favorite thing in my favorite season and I really miss it!
Yes. It was back when I was a child in Florida.
@yakkoTDI you should have showed it to David Copperfield.
MN (southern) 53 degrees Wednesday.
@radi0j0hn Southern Wisconsin, same.

@katbyter I grew up in the thumb, I do like Wisconsin winters better than Michigan winters
I live where it doesn’t snow, you insensitive clods!
@Evansdoor i mean that was literally one of the poll options
We haven’t! And that’s not good for bone-dry CO, even though it’s certainly been pleasant. But scary for the future - droughts and fires!
Today one of the weather guys on the noon news was sitting outside in shorts and flipflops (to make a point.) DECEMBER 1st and it’s about 73 degrees!
It never snows here and I really wish it would. Seeing my boyfriend in the UK playing in it makes me very jealous!
From what I understand we don’t typically get snow until January. When it does snow it’s melted by mid-day.
I like snow as a novelty. Living/driving in it sucks. So I’m happy living where I can drive to see snow if I really want to.

We had a couple inches; always fun to drive knowing people who aren’t used to it might do scary things.
