@chienfou - wear purple vestments for Lent, the libation is water for Lent, you can be Eastern Orthodox or anything you like, you sort of parade back and forth depending which emperor was in power.
@chienfou - I should’ve said, but YESTERDAY was the Feast of St Joseph when Zeppole & Sfingi are traditionally served and if there’s any left, I’m sure it’s OK to eat some today.
Staying far away from any bars and/or parades…
I’m long past enjoying St. Paddy’s day in those locales.
When we had our Irish Wolfhound we did march in 1 parade, before his heart problem got too severe…
@PhysAssist
… I hear you. The most likely green I’ll be wearing today is grass stains!
Bad dad joke on TV this morning

Nice! Wonder how many pinched fingers they ended up with!?
No celebration here. SWMBO is English.
@blaineg
Wow… Those folks really know how to hold a grudge!
@chienfou Centuries of practice!
It’s largely in good humor these days. Mostly.
All the [insert stereotypically dumb ethnic group here] jokes you’ve ever heard are “Irish” jokes in England. Or Yorkshire (northern England) jokes.
Some Irish and some Scots still take their grudges against England seriously. And not without historical reasons.
Happy feast day of St. Cyril of Jerusalem!
@aetris
Thanks… when’s the parade? Are there any special libations involved? What color should I wear? Do I have to be Catholic?
