Some like it hot, and some sweat when the heat is on. Some feel the heat and decide that they can't go on. Some like it hot, but you can't tell how hot till you try. Some like it hot, so let's turn up the heat till we fry.
@borisparsley Thank the goddess! I've told people that Dr Pepper used to have advertisements about heating Dr. Pepper...in the late 50s, I think. Nobody would believe me. This suggests that I may not be as crazy as certain folk hint.
@borisparsley back in the early 90s I did quite a bit of volunteer work at the Dr. Pepper Museum in Waco, TX. After being served one of these one cold morning I was hooked on putting lemon in my Dr. Pepper.
Interesting, but I'm running out of room in my kitchen and am avoiding single-purpose appliances. (Ok, coffee and tea might be considered dual-purpose, but still too few purposes.)
This is very good for me However, I'm hesitating to buy because I'm not sure that it supports 220 voltage. Can anyone answer the voltage support of this one to me?
@sobjil it's 110, but you can get an adaptor for ... wait, by the time you buy the adaptor you've spent as much as a cheap coffee maker at your voltage. never mind.
@The_Catman Meh doesn't ship to Korea. They got Korean support after realizing tons of Koreans were shopping here and having a freight forwarding service ship stuff over for them. I can't remember where, but there are links around here somewhere for those services.
@The_Catman meh does domestic shipping only. koreans here use forwarding service with their expense. i know how you feel. it sucks eh? i felt the same when i was in Canada.
@EthanP Totally! I just wish they had some type of built in translator, or a way to toggle the translation so I don't have to go to Google and translate it manually.
I'd be interested in how it would brew a single cup of coffee using the paper coffee pods. For less than a trip to Panera's for coffee and a pastry it's worth a shot - or to have on hand for that gift you forgot to buy.
@potatosan Hah, same. Maybe not 3 months but at least 2 or so. I don't check every day, and some days I got really close, but this was the first time I saw something I could definitely use.
How many minutes does it take it to make a glass of iced tea? (There may be no stupid questions, but there are a lot of redundant questions. I was traveling yesterday, so I'm entirely awake. Please, just gently tell me where it says it. It must tell us somewhere...)
@hamjudo I can't find an exact time anywhere, closest is a bullet on the Amazon listing that says "Iced coffee in minutes". Some reviews mention how fast it can heat the water so I'd guess like 2 minutes or so.
Meh... only because it's sold out... Why couldn't you guys have more of these? Seriously.... It's like you guys want me to suffer. Now I have to drink my coffee and tea hot?!?!?! Gosh......

@mediocrebot
Does anyone like purple coffee or tea?
@f00l Iove purple.
@Barney Loves Purple.
I love purple.
Some like it hot, and some sweat when the heat is on. Some feel the heat and decide that they can't go on. Some like it hot, but you can't tell how hot till you try. Some like it hot, so let's turn up the heat till we fry.
@Barney In Soviet Russia, purple loves you!
SOLD!
No Georgia Red. . . for that alone, meh.
I love purple.
@jrwofuga That's my boy!
No purple. . . for that alone, meh.
I love purple.
Fantastic, in for 2. Now I just need an ice maker.
Only 8 oz of coffee at a time, so I have to say meh. Even though this is a good price if you've been looking at this type of item.
@marvelljones that is not much coffee!!!!
@marvelljones 8 oz of hot coffee, which you then pour into a 16 oz glass of ice. Ice melts, you have more coffee.
@MsELizardBeth 16 ounce mug, run the coffee maker twice, there's your grande.
I am tempted... But have a Keurig at home and one at work....
@MsELizardBeth Me, too. Sorely tempted, though
@MsELizardBeth Same here, seems like a good alternative for different types of coffee not available for the Keurig.
@dfunk29 i caught the refillable pods on black Friday sale last year for 3 for $1.
How come the total doesn't match the price times the number sold?
@Headly Tax+shipping for non-VMPs.
@Headly shipping gariations among peeps
@chr
(Editors love typo humor.)
Okay-Lousy-Pot... Love it
@Keyeno well is it okay or lousy? I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO BELIEVE
@JonT Thats what my order said. You'd have to ask who/whatever writes them. ;)
In for one. Sounds like a good stocking stuffer?
um um
it's not like meh copy writing to be this far off base
@borisparsley Better without the lemon.
@borisparsley that sounds disgusting
@borisparsley Thank the goddess! I've told people that Dr Pepper used to have advertisements about heating Dr. Pepper...in the late 50s, I think. Nobody would believe me. This suggests that I may not be as crazy as certain folk hint.
@gertiestn The two are not mutually exclusive.
@borisparsley @gertiestn @SSteve @2many2no @Lera I prefer Flaming Dr Peppers
@JonT That is not a drink for grown-ups. You may as well drink a Flaming Moe.
@borisparsley I remember having that as a kid. A bit different than hot cider, but not bad.
@JonT my brother caught his chest hair on fire with one of those.
@borisparsley
@borisparsley back in the early 90s I did quite a bit of volunteer work at the Dr. Pepper Museum in Waco, TX. After being served one of these one cold morning I was hooked on putting lemon in my Dr. Pepper.
@neuromancer I wanted to be an astronaut because I heard they got a lot of Tang
@JonT Ingredients also sound nasty, but lots of points for being on fire.
@Lera Don't worry, you have to drink it fast. You can't really taste it til afterward
@Kleineleh mmmm, drink aftertaste reflux
@Lera Regardless of the ingredients there is some magic that happens and when you drink it it tastes exactly like Dr Pepper but it'll get you drunk!
@JonT You can't argue with that!
awesome for travel! single cup brew, right into the travel mugs we got here awhile ago.
or iced stuff.
I was talking with my roommate 30 minutes ago that I should get a coffee maker but without spending tons of money. This was just perfect.
@ggomes
anyone think this might make coffee w a bit of crema?
@ggomes For another $6 you could get one that will make 12 cups. http://www.walmart.com/msharbor/ip/9604635?refinements=&search_query=coffee%20makers&veh=mweb
Espresso machine broke this morning, was hoping there would be a sweet deal on a new one. Close, but meh.
Would anyone recommend this for making hot tea? I mean, it makes hot tea, that you cool, but would it brew it any different?
@irockash I was actually wondering the same...
@irockash That's my plan. Use one tea bag rather than two and you should be good to go.
rad.
I love living in The Future, where I can buy a machine that makes boiling hot iced beverages.
In for one! Looking forward to easy iced coffee.
Well, I guess I can't let that VMP go to waste, now can I.
meddlesome-bullish-fight
@ruouttaurmind He really does look like a turtle.
@Fen_Star (very slow) uh...yup.
Interesting, but I'm running out of room in my kitchen and am avoiding single-purpose appliances. (Ok, coffee and tea might be considered dual-purpose, but still too few purposes.)
@SSteve Same here. I'd thought about buying one before and am tempted at $10, but I really hate having my countertops cluttered with appliances.
They're called uni-taskers. Scourge of the kitchen.
@mike808 So what do you use for coffee and tea then? Like a combo juicer/blender/percolator? Or a pot on the stove and you boil water?
This is very good for me
However, I'm hesitating to buy because I'm not sure that it supports 220 voltage.
Can anyone answer the voltage support of this one to me?
@sobjil it's 110, but you can get an adaptor for ... wait, by the time you buy the adaptor you've spent as much as a cheap coffee maker at your voltage. never mind.
프리볼트 제품인가요? 220V 사용가능한가요?
@hdlee English, please
@Stallion I think he's asking if it's compatible with a 220V power grid (such as i assume Korea's is).
The answer as far as I know is probably "maybe with an adaptor".
@The_Catman good guess. can we answer to that?
@Stallion we welcome any language. dont we?
@The_Catman thats what im thinking.
@EthanP So wait, if there's Korean Support, I assume that means meh ships to Korea, so how do i get it to ship to Canada?
@hdlee 아마도 아닐 것이다 . Amazon.com 비디오는미국 스타일의 110V 플러그를 보여줍니다.
@The_Catman First you have to find a bunch of people who speak Canadian and give them a special badge so we can spot them here.
@EthanP Totally! I just wish they had some type of built in translator, or a way to toggle the translation so I don't have to go to Google and translate it manually.
Damn, first time you list something i have an interest in and i just realized i can't actually buy anything here anyway. Dicks.
Why's there never anything good that ships to Canada?
@The_Catman Hey, it's not all aboot you...eh?
@The_Catman Now say you're sorry.
@The_Catman So you just look here everyday to torture yourself?
@The_Catman Wow, you're the Canadian unixrab.
@Lera Well like i said, i didn't realize 'till just now that i can't get stuff shipped to here.
@editorkid The Canadian whowhat?
@The_Catman unixrab is our resident curmudgeon.
@SSteve actually wouldn't it be more appropriate (considering the season) to say resident Scrooge?
I'd be interested in how it would brew a single cup of coffee using the paper coffee pods. For less than a trip to Panera's for coffee and a pastry it's worth a shot - or to have on hand for that gift you forgot to buy.
@floridarev1 For $20, I would be willing to research it for you...
Bummer. I've bought mucho stuff on my card in the past few days, but this site says billing address failed validation.
@matteary that could be typo time... either that or one of those mucho unsavory sites from which bought stuff molested your card.
Does it take AA batteries?
@chr AAA
after 3 months, you have done it meh! today is the day i buy something
@potatosan Hah, same. Maybe not 3 months but at least 2 or so. I don't check every day, and some days I got really close, but this was the first time I saw something I could definitely use.
Can I make potato chips with it? If not, no sale.
@lisaviolet You can not make chips. And you have nobody to blame but yourself...
@lisaviolet If you mean "with it" sitting next to your deep fryer, then yes you can.
@lisaviolet I got this as a gift for a family member before who seemed to like it: http://www.jbox.com/product/KING132
@dashcloud That looks interesting. I've baked potato chips before, but they just weren't as yummy (and unhealthy) as the ones I fried.
no

i attempted to comment 3 times, but words failed me. why? who? what?
i bought it because i like iced tea, and for that... i thank you. i shall tell tales about you the great... MEH.
Man I missed out on this one! I love iced tea! Oh well.. maybe next time..
Meh... only because it's sold out... Why couldn't you guys have more of these? Seriously.... It's like you guys want me to suffer. Now I have to drink my coffee and tea hot?!?!?! Gosh......
T^T Sold Out
