You are hoping to do MORE??? You have done A LOT!!! Looks great! Hope you have a bunch of people come to your dead end street (and least I think I remember you saying you lived on one) to sightsee. This is great!
@RiotDemon Hope no one does tricks on your house when the one or two kids empty out your candy and you then actually get more kids than that. Maybe you should hire a baby sitter for your house. I can hear the cops now, “You said a skeleton did this? They are wearing a mask and we appeared to have had a skeleton invasion last night so I am afraid we can’t help you.”.
I used to do a little bit outside. Nothing like yours, though! Now we live at the end of a dead end private road and nobody sees our house but delivery drivers, so we don’t bother.
Great job @RiotDemon ! I am not in your league but love Halloween. And mischief night, a bunch of us get together and TP all the cool kids houses in the neighborhood.
We’ve never done big Halloween decor; yours is great! We have a jack-o-lantern, orange and purple lights and spiderwebs around the porch entry, and one ‘ghost’ projector, but unfortunately we’ve got snow and and its getting very cold (for this time of year) and its not only covering up most of the decor but I expect that means a low turnout. Two bags of Costco candy will mostly end up at work
@duodec Cold here too. Tomorrow will be the 1st day in 4 that the temp will get above freezing. I had to throw salt on the sidewalk to avoid costumed kids falling down.
I found a high def pic online and blew it up to lifesize. Then I mounted it on cardboard and cut it out.
I actually posed for a few pics with it and completely pissed off a few friends. They thought I got a chance to see it up close and didn’t bring them along !!
@RiotDemon@tinamarie1974 That’s great - it even looks curved! Perhaps because we’re looking at it in a 2D photo. I really thought you had PhotoShopped it in.
oh my goodness all of y’alls houses look amazing! we never decorate much. i have a door hanger and i always mean to do more but it’s a really busy time at work and i’m lazy.
This is all we did. Living on a busy street with no side-streets on our side, we got a total of 7 kids, so hardly worth the effort. And that’s 7 more than 3 years ago, so…
@ybmuG loving the pumpkins, especially that weird bumpy gourd!
This is the first time probably since my teens that I did not carve a pumpkin. I feel left out! I think I have about ten foam pumpkins that I got on sale so I should be ready for next year!
Here’s some photos of my friend’s house that I go and haunt at.
The fence is fake.
Here’s the fake coals for the witch’s pot that I made years ago and posted about. Still looking good.
There was quite a few people that came through. We had a guy wielding a chainsaw. He didn’t use it as much as I would of.
I had some idiot teenager poke my butt with a baseball bat because his friend was too scared to walk by.
I made several people cry unintentionally.
I made one girl jump off her bicycle and run away. I was nice and brought her bike over to her parents she was hiding behind.
I had one girl jump off a golf cart because I opened my wings at her.
I had a teen abandon his “hoverboard”. Him and his friend kept telling me to scare their other friend that was up the driveway getting candy. They were being pushy and insistent. So I took a step towards them instead and flung my wings open. They ran.
I walked several blocks after a group of around 15 people because they would keep antagonizing me and then they’d scream and run if I made the smallest move in their direction.
There was so many people that I freaked out this year. Was awesome.
Best costumes I witnessed was a family dressed up as toy story characters. Parents were Woody and Jessie. Kids were sporky, buzz, and Bo peep. Super cute.
Best costume had to go to a Sally that was walking a floating Zero dog. I’m sad I couldn’t get a picture. It was so cool!
Tried to find someone with the floating Zero I was talking about. Turns out Disney sold one. I’m not sure if this is what they used because he looked more like cheesecloth material. Either way, it was neat and reminded me of those invisible dogs with the empty harness that you walked around.
I’m definitely going to make a Zero tombstone for my graveyard and have a Zero floating close by.
Here is my front video projection. I set this one up in the daytime today before I left so it could of been tweaked. I was still pretty happy to come home to this… Minus the purple lights falling down more.
So did you come home to any evidence any trick or treaters showed up at your house? Sort of sad you go to all that effort and don’t have an scared appreciative audience.

@Kidsandliz I think the neighbors are amused. I won’t be home so I’m going to have my security camera watching to see if anyone comes by.
I’ll leave some candy in a bowl in case anyone actually walks up.

Wow, RD you did a ton! That looks great!
@moonhat thank you!
I’d stop by for sure! Looks great!
@therealjrn thanks!
/giphy impressive

Amazing job! Now I feel like an underachiever lol
@tinamarie1974 Let’s see it! Does the bird still live on your porch?

@callow I’ve never seen TPing in the wild.
Loving the eyes in the window!

Ok here is mine!!
@tinamarie1974 woo hoo! Nice that they let you borrow the Stanley Cup!
@tinamarie1974
Great @tinamarie1974 true love theme there!
@therealjrn right! Lots of “favors” to get it here
@tinamarie1974 what did you make the cup out of? Looks realistic!
@RiotDemon thanks

@RiotDemon @ybmuG here is a pic of it lying on the deck after I sprayed some gloss on it…
@RiotDemon, I’m sorry I’m not in easy driving range of your house.
That’s terrific.
Hey, @mediocrebot! @RD is awesome!

@RiotDemon Thanks! It spoke to me.
But I’m taking meds for that now.
WTH. Gritty stole my idea!!
@tinamarie1974 Are we going to get to see the final WW costume pieces, with or without you in them?
@stolicat oh yeah, I forgot. Ok I will pull them out tonight and grab a pic!

@RiotDemon - far as I’m concerned, you win the holiday!
@stolicat thanks!
@Some_meh I messed this up and can’t edit it. My bad.
@Some_meh I tried to fix it, but the photos you linked is not available. If you can give the link again I’ll fix your post.
So did you come home to any evidence any trick or treaters showed up at your house? Sort of sad you go to all that effort and don’t have an
scaredappreciative audience.@Kidsandliz no. I had my security camera pointed right at the bowl with motion detection on. No hits.
It’s fine. I decorated to make myself happy.
