@medz Didn’t even know that was in the profile-I at least counted correctly and yes-the total in the profit does include BOC-my 80 total didn’t include the 9 BOC I have gotten.
@medz true, but couldn’t you rationalize that some things yield a useful factor of greater than one, especially if they happened to be well-priced as well?
For me, that JBL Mini (my Micro suffers a useful factor of one) speaker dock.
Seems that I order stuff for friends/family a lot and don’t know if they are still in use. I still use regularly 13 of the items. Gifted/purchased for others 23 that may ior may not be used.
Some items were consumable so gone for that reason. Others were just junk.
still use at least 3-4 items from fukos regularly.
I have around 105 orders including 13 Fuku/Irks to 5 or 6 different addresses in 2 states with Fuku2 at 12:11am Sep 17, 2014 being the first order followed by Fuku3 at 12:32am Nov 14, 2014. Not sure yet if 13 is a lucky or unlucky number for me. Long gone are the good old days when you could buy Fukus at your leisure.
My profile says I placed 167 orders. I counted about 20 Fuko/IRKs plus the Schrödinger’s Toothbrush Club Souvenir Kit. I’m not sure if the bonus Fukos from Meh’s 4th Birthday are included in the total. I copied all my orders from the page source into Excel (I have no life) and it shows 180 items, so who knows. Some of the twofers have one order number.
I don’t buy tooooooo much around here, so I can provide a full review of my Meh history:
2019
July 8 - IRK
July 8 - Irk stickers (plus Glen…ugh)
May 29 - weighted blanket - love it!
May 14 - flashlights - love them!
Feb 19 - hat/gloves/scarf - donated to charity
2018
Dec 24 - work socks - donated to charity
Nov 27 - Ricola cough drops - slowly working my way through them
Nov 15 - caffeinated peanut butter - still sitting untouched in my cupboard, what the fuck was I thinking
Jun 11 - Food thermometer - this was garbage --> goodwill
Apr 1 - Meh Fuko shirt - in use
Jan 24 - micro-flannel sheets - these were kinda crap
2017
Dec 4 - Fuko - mostly crap, big surprise!
Nov 16 - Thule 24L backpack - this is AMAZING I use it constantly
Jul 10 - Random Meh shirt - in use
Jul 9 - Birthday Meh shirt - clipped apart to use as baking linen
May 12 - Contour Gel Pillow - this was crap, and I returned it
My profile says 194 orders and I counted 14 IRK|fuko|fuku, tho the IRK and one other order (the meh apron) have not yet been received.
Not including the 13 fuku|fuko, I count at least 92 purchases that I use, have used, or have gifted.
However, I’m not sure why we’re excluding fuku|fuko from useful items. I still use all of the bags and most of them had at least one useful item worth $4 (I figure the bag is worth $1).
The real waste is not the fuku|fuko but the 80+ things I ordered and did nothing with (eg. the box of 150? fidget spinners).
@baqui63 I excluded the fukus because of the variety of things, some useful, some useful if they worked and but mostly throw away or unused crap. Only worthwhile thing I ever got was a new child’s humidifier in a beat up box which my daughter sold on e-bay for $ 35.
@baqui63 I was thinking about buying the 150 spinners and giving them our on Halloween. Not much more than what I spend for candy. But we had about 200 trick or treaters last yr and didn’t want to be stuck with an extra 100 of those.
My profile says I’ve placed 208 orders. Is that different from my “net of BOC”?
@medz Didn’t even know that was in the profile-I at least counted correctly and yes-the total in the profit does include BOC-my 80 total didn’t include the 9 BOC I have gotten.
/define boc
Something went terribly wrong.
@medz BOC- aka Fucko aka IRK or whatever it is being called at the moment. SOS.
@Felton10 Figured. Just making sure it wasn’t some accounting abbreviation.
@medz It is but not in this case-mostly refers to the condition in which some of my clients send me their accounting records.
Yes, because for some regular daily deals that could stand for “Box of Crap” regardless of how many things are in the box.
@medz good gravy jesus toasted buttery muffins that’s a lot of meh purchases
@UncleVinny that’s only like 1 order every 10 days… Or a tenth of an order each day. Is that how math works?
I guess it’s really like 0.11 orders per day…above calcs were based on join date not days since first sale launch.
@medz we’re still not really sure how math works.

I like your idea of getting a ratio of items purchased vs items being used. That would take me some time and probably give me a sad.
@medz Then for the sake of meh’s bottom line don’t do it. You might stop buying stuff
@medz true, but couldn’t you rationalize that some things yield a useful factor of greater than one, especially if they happened to be well-priced as well?
For me, that JBL Mini (my Micro suffers a useful factor of one) speaker dock.
That overcompensation might help the sad.
@medz there’s a lesson in this for all of us. But maybe especially you.
76 orders, 10 of which are irk/fuko.
Seems that I order stuff for friends/family a lot and don’t know if they are still in use. I still use regularly 13 of the items. Gifted/purchased for others 23 that may ior may not be used.

@UncleVinny WOW what detail-you must have way more free time than the rest of us.
@Felton10 that’s a polite way of putting it
@UncleVinny caffeinated peanut butter - still sitting untouched in my cupboard, what the fuck was I thinking ……you totally cracked me up!
