Bruh, it’s $60 a year with nothing in return. Imagine those of us who sacrificed real money before the place even existed, only to have a card expire and miss a renewal so we no longer have a perfect record of throwing a coffee’s worth of money away every month for years.
If you don’t get its worth, you don’t get its worth. No use throwing the money unless you’re buying at least 1 thing per month. I’m still averaging a little more than 1, so will keep for now.
@darkzrobe The water temperature is fine. The world won’t end. Not missing it a bit like I wondered.
And it doesn’t mean leaving Meh. Simply keeping 60 hard earned bucks every year for something else.
In my case, it wasn’t simply not buying enough at Meh anymore - the light bulb turned on when I realized our Meh & Woot purchase volumes swapped. We went from buying nothing at Woot to several purchases/year and from sometimes multiple purchases per month at Meh to almost nothing.
I don’t buy Starbucks, Prime, Disney + or any other silly extras. I spend 5 bucks a month on my VMP. I buy 10 to 15 things a year and maybe win 2 meh whatever bags a year. 5 bucks a month is nothing compared to other shit. Been doing it since 2014…
thanks for coming here to tell us all that…
@chienfou it’s almost like I posted due to the video
Yep. User badge checks out.
@mike808 I just noticed that. Lol

@fuzzmanmatt almost had the card exp thing happen twice
And the couch seems a little bit bigger today in the VMP lounge.

Hey— Mediocrebot, How many VMP’s remain? Inquiring minds want to know!
@crow probably more VMPs remaining than BMG music subscribers.
@crow @OnionSoup I think I still owe them money…
@eq52515 @OnionSoup It was eerie how Columbia House always seemed to find your new address when you moved.
and I almost forgot about the red stripes of shame on the cassette labels. Felt like playing golf with range balls.

And another one bites the dust.

@somf69
Yep… It’s all about the cost-benefit ratio!
