When I was in Orlando for a week long conference I paid for an extra plane ticket for my wife. We stayed an extra week and since we aren’t theme park people and aren’t well off we looked for inexpensive things to do. The Morse Museum was amazing. There was a museum on a lake shore in the home of the sculptor who is featured in the museum. His name escapes me. This was in the Winter Park area. We went to another really nice art museum and there were some old oil portraits of a husband and wife that looked like they could be photographs. The art was great but my favorite museum of the trip was Kennedy Space Center. Truly epic.
Art museums are something I enjoy going to, but I suppose I never do. I don’t know of one nearby, and I think the last time I went to one was 15-20 years ago.
But I don’t want to click “never” because I’d love to go to one again.

I have been to two of Houston’s major art museums just once each, and I find that the smaller ones curated by less “expert” staffs generally have the better actual art. The bigger the institution, the more they are driven by the prestige factor. Prestige just means that the items collected cost a shitload of money, not that they are actually all that interesting to see.
For a heist?
There are some smaller, but great ones, such as The Clark in Williamstown, MA. The have an incredible collection and beautiful grounds as well.
The Cardsharps by Caravagio is pretty good. It’s at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth.
Are Hunter’s paintings on exhibit?
My favorite painting during Mehrathon IRK events:
More often than not, I appreciate fine art in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons museum.

It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see

Great Still Life on Pedestal, Pablo Picasso
If you want to see the entire history of art, the Norton Simon museum has it all.
I wish I could enjoy art museums, and art in general really, but with the exception of MoMA I will never not find them boring
